GLEMBIN, FRISKE AMONG NEW FACES IN EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY VICTORY LANE

(ZDROIK DRAWS FIRST BLOOD IN ROUND I OF B MOD TRIPLE CROWN)

(EAGLE RIVER, WI) June 21 – It was a night of firsts as a pair of new faces found victory lane at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday.

 

Hometown driver Ryan Glembin scored his first stock car feature win of the year while Tomahawk’s Travis Friske put his ERS late model into victory lane. Hometown driver Jason Zdroik led wire-to-wire en route to winning round I of the Chef Rene B Mod Triple crown challenge.

 

Zdroik drew the pole position in the 20-lap contest and quickly sped away to the lead. The veteran hugged the bottom groove of the slick third-mile oval. A caution on lap six bunched up the field but Zdroik kept the lead on the restart and scored the $1,000 win.

 

Michigan’s Dave Dishaw finished second in the feature while Twin Lakes, Michigan’s Jesse Aho mounted a late race charge from the back of the pack to finish third. Eagle River’s Dustin White and Iron Mountain, Michigan’s Frank Gasperini rounded out the top five finishers.

 

The broom was broken out for drivers in the street stock and 600 micro divisions as Sugar Camp’s Jason Eisel and Phelps Dustin Kangas each scored clean sweeps in those divisions, respectively.

 

In 300 micro action the feature races were captured by Tomahawk’s Kaeden Bethel and Elijah Sharp-Nevoraski who scored his first feature flag here of 2022.
