Jason Czarapata takes Cousin’s backup car to victory lane at in the IMCA Stock Cars

(Seymour, WI) July 2, 2021 Outagamie Speedway Race Report- 163 racers checked in to do battle at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. There were 26 Dirt Kings Late Models, 33 IMCA Stock Cars, 44 IMCA Sport Mods, 34 IMCA Sport Compacts and 26 Unified Street Stocks. For Late Models results please visit dirtkingstour.com For the second week in row “Racin” Jason Czarapata found himself in victory lane but this time it was in his Cousin’s Brandon’s IMCA Stock Car. Czarapata jumped to the lead on the 2nd lap, overtaking Trent Nolan. A series of cautions kept the field close as Czarapata and Nolan played “cat and mouse” in picking what groove to run. Czarapata settled on running the cushion and began to distance himself from the field. Czarapata cruised to the win and a clean sweep to boot. Aaron Stolp crossed the line second but didn’t pass post-race tech. Nolan was then credited second, point leader Brandon Czarapata took third, Travis Van Straten placed fourth and Rod Snellenberger rounded out the top five. Andy Klosterman worked around rookie Mason Woods for the lead in the IMCA Sport Mods. His reign up front lasted until lap 7 when his machine went spinning in turn one. Woods inherited the lead until Tim Sheppard came to call. Sheppard worked the top side to perfection, taking the lead on lap 9. Sheppard never looked back, pulling away to his first feature win of the season. With a second-place finish Ryan Schmidt took over the point lead. Woods was third, Matthew Radtke and Derek Fehling completed the top five. In Unified Street Stock action, the race for the win came down to Jesse Krahn and point leader James Fletcher once again. The duo exchanged the lead in the closing laps but like a story that keeps repeating, it was Krahn coming out on top with his 5th feature win of the season. Fletcher extended his point lead with a second place, Paul White had another strong finish with third, Jason White placed fourth and Brooke Diefenthaler took fifth. Brandon Van Ooyen paced the opening circuits of the IMCA Sport Compact feature until Al Cottrell took over the top spot on lap 4. Cottrell quickly distanced himself from the field. Cottrell dominated the remainder of the caution free event to score his second win of the season and a clean sweep. Matt Brehmer had a strong second, in his first run of the season Shaun Bangart was third, Tony Everard placed fourth and took over the point lead, Kyle Jorgenson rounded out the top five after starting 18th. Outagamie Speedway will be back in action Friday, July 9th with our 5 regular divisions.
