(EAGLE RIVER, WI) August 4 – Marinesco, Michigan’s Marcus Dunbar became the first driver in 2020 to capture feature wins in two divisions at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday night.

The second-generation driver started off the night with winning a caution filled B mod feature. To cap off the night Dunbar snatched the lead from his cousin Darren Dunbar on the third circuit to win the ERS late model feature.

New Auburn’s Jake Stai took the lead at the drop of the green of the 20 lap B mod contest. Stai surrendered the lead to Marcus Dunbar on a restart on lap seven. Dunbar kept the lead through a pair of mid race cautions while Jesse Aho powered his way into the second spot.

Dunbar kept Aho and the balance of the field at bay the rest of the way to capture the win. Hometown driver Ty Springer posted his best finish of the year in second. Jesse Aho, Bruce Belland And Jason Zdroik placed third through fifth, respectively.

Defending stock car champion “Hot Rod” Snellenberger of Pulaski kept his son Devin Snellenberger at bay to win the division’s main event. Snellenberger led every lap en route to victory. Devin Snellenberger settled for second at the pay window, followed by Mark Scheunemann, Ryan Valeria and Ryan Glembin.

Hometown driver Ryan Brown captured the Unified street stock feature by a full straightaway over the rest of the field. Sugar Camp’s Jason Eisel nipped Ontanogon, Michigan’s Dave Dishaw at the line for second. Tristan Valeria and Ashton Slizewski took fourth and fifth, respectively.

Hometown driver and defending division champion Tommie Springer led wire-to-wire in the 600 Micro sprint feature.

Tomahawk’s Kaeden Bethel captured his first 300 Micro sprint feature while Jackson Brown of Irma did the same in the division’s other feature. All three winged division features went green-to-checkered without a yellow.

Racing will resume Tuesday, August 11 with the first green flag flying at 730 p.m. It will be a kid’s night with many kid’s giveaways including bicycles, school supplies and much more.
