Jeff Kropp & Ben Schulte Sweep action at Outagamie Speedway

(Seymour, WI) August 5, 2022 Race Report- Outagamie Speedway Race Report- 129 racers checked to do battle at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. There were 25 IMCA Modifieds, 32 IMCA Stock Cars, 26 IMCA Sport Mods, 23 IMCA Sport Compacts and 23 Unified Street Stocks.  

 

Kelsy Hayes led the first 5 circuits of the IMCA Modified feature until Travis Spaulding took over. Spaulding’s reign up front didn’t last long as Travis Hansen slipped by on lap 8. Hansen quickly came under attack from “Mighty” Mike Mullen. Mullen grabbed the top spot on lap 11 and never looked back to score his 4th feature win of the season. Hansen had his best run of the season to place second, Benji LaCrosse took third, Dan Roedl was fourth and Jayden Schmidt completed the top five.  

 

After a rough outing last week, Ryan Schmidt was victorious in the IMCA Sport Mods for the second time this season. Schmidt the lead from Bernie Miller on the 12 lap and cruised to the win. Matthew Radtke made a late race pass to finish in the runner-up position, Miller was third, Taylor Haufschildt took fourth and Skyler Woods placed fifth.  

 

Paul Diefenthaler made a 3-wide pass in the closing laps to score his third Unified Street Stock feature in row. Diefenthaler was able to slip by Trey Van Straten and Presley Harrington with 2 laps remaining for the win. Van Straten was second, Harrington placed third, point leader James Fletcher took fourth and Brooke Diefenthaler completed the top five.  

 

Jeff Kropp led all 20 laps of the IMCA Stock Car feature to score his first win of the season. Eric Arneson dogged Kropp the entire event but had to settle for second, Dan Michonski had a sold run to place third, Mike Mullen was fourth and Chase Parker rounded out the top five. The contest went green to checker.  

 

Ben Schulte made his return to the IMCA Sport Compacts a successful one. Schulte led all 20 laps to score the $500 payday. David Cox beat out Jeremy Czarapata to take second, Thomas Schulte was fourth and Cody Booth placed fifth.
