FATHER-SON DUO OF JESSE & CARTER AHO SHARE VICTORY LANE AT EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY
(EAGLE RIVER, WI) August 17 – It’s not often a father and son can share victory lane racing different classes on the same night.
However, that’s exactly what happened at Eagle River Speedway here Tuesday night. Twin Lakes, Michigan’s Jesse Aho grabbed the lead on lap five and never relinquished it in the caution free B mod feature. Earlier that evening Aho’s son Carter scored one of the feature wins in the 300 micro sprint division.
In the B mod feature Jesse Aho started third on the grid and passed early race leader Pete Paulus for the top spot on the fifth circuit. Aho fought off a fast-closing Mickey Nosser in the waning laps for the win. Paulus settled for third, with Beetle Bailey and point leader Jason Zdroik took the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Zdroik would later in the night go on to win the late model feature. Pulaski’s ‘Hot Rod’ Snellenberger and Eagle River’s Ryan Brown each scored feature wins in the stock car and street stock classes, respectively. Boulder Junction’s Mya Towne snagged the 600 micro feature win while Tomahawk’s Kaeden Bethel won the other 300 micro sprint feature.
Phillips’ Roger Walker won for the third time here this year in the pure stock feature.
Racing resumes next Tuesday, August 24. It will be track championship night as the final points night of racing takes place.
