CHRISTIANS CAPTURES 100th IMCA SANCTIONED WIN AT OUTAGAMIE SPEEDWAY

By Edward Anschutz

(Seymour, WI) August, 14 2020 Race Report- Horicon’s Jeremy Christians celebrated another milestone in the IMCA Stock Cars with his 100th IMCA sanctioned win Friday night at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. A total of 122 cars took the green flag. There were 33 IMCA Modifieds, 29 IMCA Stock Cars, 20 IMCA Sport Mods, 19 IMCA Sport Compacts and 21 Unified Street Stocks.

Tyler Wendt paced the opening circuits of the IMCA Stock Car feature. Wendt locked in up top as Jeremy Christians quickly worked his way to the runner-up position using the low groove. Christians slipped by Wendt for the lead on lap 4. Christians put his Victory Chassis on the cushion and pulled away from the field. A caution with 3 to go set up a dash to the checkers but no one had anything for Christians tonight as he went uncontested en route to his 100th IMCA feature win. Wendt had his best run of the season to place second, Andy Kleczka rallied late to place to take third, Barry Streck was fourth and Brandon Czarapata rounded out the top five.

“Fast” Eddie Muenster started his week off with a feature win in the asphalt Late Models Thursday night on the ½” mile at Wisconsin International Raceway. Muenster turned around one day later to pick up his first IMCA Modified feature of the season. Muenster took the lead on the opening lap and never looked back, leading all 20 laps on his way to a clean sweep of the night. Kurt Moeller had his best race of the season to place second, Lucas Lamberies raced from row 8 to place third, Dan Wilcox was fourth and Jason Ebert completed the top five.

Jayden Schmidt took the lead from Travis Rhoades with 5 laps remaining to score the win in the IMCA Sport Mods. Rhoades had to settle for second, Brady Harshberger, Matt Radtke and last week’s winner Skyler Woods rounded out the top five.

Defending champ Jesse Krahn made it 3 wins in a row, holding off a hard charging Brooke Diefenthaler in the Unified Street Stocks.
