BEAVER DAM, Wisc.  The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series hits the track at Beaver Dam Raceway this weekend for the 14th Annual Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial Presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1

Last year, Gio Scelzi and Sheldon Haudenschild split the pair of wins. Scelzi was victorious on the first night, while Haudenschild went to victory lane in the finale.

Haudenschild has four wins in his career at Beaver Dam Raceway, all coming in his most recent five starts at the track. The Ohio native has finished among the top-10 in nine of his 10 career starts at the track. Haudenschild is currently seventh in the series standings and has five victories this season.

Leading the way into Beaver Dam is current series point leader, David Gravel who is looking for his first Outlaws title. The Connecticut native has a series-leading eight wins to go along with 20 top-10 finishes. The veteran driver has 13 top-10 finishes in 15 Beaver Dam starts, including six top-five showings as he chases his first win at the high-banked, third-mile.

Carson Macedo, who is second in points, has two wins thus far in 2024. The California native has finished among the top-10 in seven of his eight career starts at Beaver Dam as he looks for his first victory at the track.

Donny Schatz, the 10-time series champion, who is third in points, has won twice in his career at Beaver Dam Raceway. The North Dakota native has made 32 starts at the track, racking up 26 top-10 finishes, with 16 of those being top-five performances.

Scelzi, who is in his sophomore season on the road with the World of Outlaws, heads to Beaver Dam fourth in points. The Californian, who is the son of NHRA drag racing champion Gary Scelzi, has one victory this season and a series-leading 22 top-10 finishes.

Michael “Buddy” Kofoid, the leading contender for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award this season, will make his Beaver Dam debut. The California native is currently fifth in points and has one win thus far in 2024.

Logan Schuchart rides sixth in the series standings as he chases his first checkered flag of the season. The Pennsylvanian has nine top-10 finishes in 13 Beaver Dam starts as he looks for his first victory at the track.

Bill Balog, who won with the World of Outlaws at Beaver Dam in 2016, is also contending for the rookie crown this year. The native of North Pole, Alaska, who now calls Hartland, Wisconsin home, is eighth in points on the strength of 13 top-10 finishes.

Brock Zearfoss, who is in the midst of his fourth season on the Outlaws tour, has made five starts at Beaver Dam Raceway in his young career. The Pennsylvania native ran 10th in his debut at the track in 2021. Zearfoss is currently ninth in points.

Landon Crawley, another of the rookie contenders, rounds out the current top-10 in the standings. The teenager from Arkansas drives the No. 7S for longtime Outlaws driver Jason Sides, who serves as the crew chief. Crawley has three top-10 finishes this season.

Kraig Kinser, who is a past winner at Beaver Dam with the Outlaws, is back on the tour this season. The son of 20-time series champion, Steve Kinser is just outside of the top-10 in points.
