WILMOT RACEWAY GEARING UP FOR FIRST EVER WORLD OF OUTLAWS LATE MODEL INVASION MONDAY, JULY 29
(Wilmot, Wis., Sunday, July 21, 2024)–The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models invade the historic Wilmot Raceway on the Kenosha County Fairgrounds in Wilmot, Wis. Monday, July 29 for the first time in the long history of the 1/3-mile clay oval facility.
IMCA Modifieds are on the card as well.
Grandstands open at 5 p.m., hot laps/qualifying 6:30 p.m., opening ceremonies followed by racing 7:30 p.m.
Off track Five Star Race Car Bodies in Twin Lakes will be the location of the Let’s Go Racing Motorsports Report podcast 6-7 pm Wednesday, July 24 hosted by Wilmot track announcer Mike Babicz. The program airs on 216TheNet and Let’s Go Racing Facebook Live, plus 216 Creator Studio YouTube.
Five Star is holding a employee outing for the World of Outlaws Late Model show. Five Star does a lot of behind the scenes work for the WO late model series and teams.
Guests planned include Daniel Sanchez of Five Star Marketing and UMP Late Model & Modified Driver; Joe Palmisano, Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame Board Member and his son Louis, two generations of racers; Great Lakes Dragaway update and others to be announced.
Prior to the Monday’s special, next up for Wilmot is a full program Saturday, July 27 with LiftPro/Hepfner Racing Products Wings 604 Crate Engine Winged Sprints, WingLESS Sprints, 11-75 Sports Complex IRA Lightning Sprints plus recently added B&L Office Furniture powered by American Tire & Auto Repair of Kenosha and Lindenhurst Bandits 4-cylinder stock cars. Saturday, July 27 Wilmot grandstands open at 5 pm, on track at 5:45 p.m. and racing at 6:45 p.m. Saturday pits open 3 p.m.
Off track on Saturday, July 27, Hartnell Chevrolet, 7800 Antioch Rd.(Rte.83), Paddock Lake will host a motorsports & street rod/custom car show 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the dealership. Culver’s of Paddock Lake is participating as well. Race cars from Wilmot Raceway and Great Lakes Dragaway are expected to be on hand for the free event.
