Wilmot Memorial Family Night Follows Third Rain Out
(Wilmot, Wis., Friday, May 20, 2022)–Wilmot Raceway plans to host a Memorial Day Weekend Family Night Special on Saturday, May 28.
Heavy rains and eventual thunderstorms hit the facility causing Wilmot Raceway to cancel its third of four events thus far on its 2022 schedule on Friday, May 20.
Just as qualifying for the 37 cars on hand of the Bumper to Bumper Interstates Racing Association(IRA) vs Tony Stewart’s Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Winged Sprint Car Challenge was beginning, the rain hit with heavier rains eventually moving in cancelling the evening’s program.
The IRA winged outlaw sprints return to their original home track of Wilmot on Saturday, June 4 along with the AutoMeter/Brewington Electric WingLESS Sprints and the Pfeifer Trailer Sales IRA Lightning Sprints in an all sprint car program.
The Memorial weekend program features the WingLESS Sprints, Modifieds, Street Stocks and Bandit 4-Cylinder Stock Cars. Grandstands open at 5 p.m. with on track activity slated for 5:45 p.m. and racing to follow. Family Night grandstand admission May 28 is $15.00 for adults ages 12 and over; ages 11 and under admitted free.
Pit gates open at 3 p.m. with pit passes $27.00.
Advance tickets are available on the track website at wilmotraceway.com. Updates are available at the trackside raceline 262-862-2090 or the official track Facebook page.
