The Final Year

Hello friends and family of the dirt racing world.

As we enter into the 14th year of Wi Dirt Racin, I find myself reflecting on the years that I’ve spent promoting and sharing here. I think back on the connections I’ve made, and all of the people I’ve met along the way. I’ve met some wonderful people, and continue to do that to this day.

That makes this a tough decision that I’ve contemplated for a few years now. It’s time for me to step back from the media/promotion part. When the website (WiDirtRacin.com) expires in the beginning of 2025, I will not be renewing. Sometime between the end of the ‘24 season, and the beginning of the ‘25 season, the Facebook page will also cease to exist. This was a very tough choice for me to make. I’m not walking away from racing at all, but I miss the days when I was just a fan of racing. I will still attend some of my favorite events, I will still hang out at the track from time to time. It might not be as often, though.

With this I have to thank you all. The Wi Dirt Racin fan base has been phenomenal. The support from the first green flag, to the last checkered flag has left me knowing that we are truly family. We started this out with a handful of stickers and a dream, and so many drivers offered a spot to display the website on their cars and asked for nothing in return. I never did this for money, but I did get some sponsors that helped out offset some of the costs of camera equipment and fuel. And for those I am so thankful as well.

To the fans, thank you.

To the drivers, thank you.

To the crews, thank you.

To the sponsors, thank you.

To the track workers and officials, thank you.

To the promoters, thank you.

To my wife and friends, thank you.

I don’t believe there is another state in which there was a dedicated place for all of the dirt track racing. We did that with your help.

Thank you all, and see you at the track.
