TEAMS GEAR UP FOR CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT AT OUTAGAMIE SPEEDWAY

(Seymour, WI) August 24, 2020 Press Release presented by Kink Equipment- Championship night will take place Friday, August 28th at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. Here’s a run-down of the titles up for grabs.  

In the IMCA Modifieds defending champ “the Hitman” Johnny Whitman of Suamico holds a commanding 24-point advantage over “ J-Money” Josh Long of Little Suamico. Whitman needs to make the feature to clinch the championship.  

Eric “Chummy” Arneson of Oconto Falls holds a 20-point advantage over Hortonville’s Travis Van Straten in the IMCA Stock Cars. If Arneson makes the feature he will clinch his first Stock Car title. 

Shawano’s Tyler Sobiesczyk is looking to secure his first ever track championship in the IMCA Sport Mods. He holds an 18-point edge over Seymour’s Jayden Schmidt who is the defending track champion. Sobiesczyk needs to finish 17th or better to claim the big trophy.  

The tightest points battle coming into the championship finale is in the Unified Street Stocks where a pair of Beaver Dam drivers face off. Defending champion Jesse Krahn holds a slim 2-point advantage over James Fletcher. Each position in the feature is a 1-point difference.  

In the IMCA Sport Compacts Black Creek’s Jake Peters looks for his first championship as he holds a 6-point edge of Cody Booth of Oshkosh.
