September 5 Special Wraps Up Rice Lake Speedway Season
By Ed Reichert
Rice Lake WI – The 2020 racing season at the Rice Lake Speedway will conclude on Saturday night, September 5th with the annual Labor Day weekend special. This year the event will be a one night show, featuring a full racing program in all five classes that regularly compete at the track. That would include the WISSOTA sanctioned Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks and the Modifieds. Extra money will be on the line for all classes and with several of the area tracks either being off on Saturday or having already concluded their seasons, a good field of cars is expected in all classes.
An early race time will be in effect for this event with the pit gate opening at 3 pm. Draw cutoff is set for 5:45 pm, with hot laps to follow and racing scheduled for 6:30 pm. Spectator gates are planned to be open for 5 pm. The draw/redraw format for the racers will be in effect and there is no scheduled rain date should the weather intervene.
