Rookie Cole Czarneski races to his first IMCA Modified win

(Seymour, WI) June 9, 2023-Race Report presented by Klink Equipment and Elite Coatings Inc- Another great night of racing in Seymour with the final checker waving at 10:15pm. 134 drivers checked in to battle at Outagamie Speedway. There were 28 IMCA Modifieds, 32 IMCA Stock Cars, 30 IMCA Sport Mods, 20 IMCA Sport Compacts and 24 Unified Street Stocks.

Rookie Cole Czarneski rocketed from his front row starting spot, building a sizable advantage over Marcus Yarie. Midway through the contest Yarie began to close in as Czarneski worked through lap traffic. With 5 to go Yarie made his move down low as Czarneski was locked behind a lap car. The pass was for not, as the loan caution flew. Once in clean air on the restart Czarneski pulled away for his first feature win in the IMCA Modifieds. Yarie raced with a lot of respect and took second, Wyatt Block was third and Benji LaCrosse rounded out the top five.

A $1000 payday awaited the winner of the IMCA Stock Car main event. Nick Buckarma took the opening lap until he slid high, allowing point leader Tyler Wilson to slip by down low. Buckarma dogged the leader the entire way but in the end, it was Wilson grabbing the cash. Buckarma had to settle for second at the pay window, Eric Arneson was third and Jeff Kropp took fourth.

Corey Kemkes gets redemption in the IMCA Sport Mods. After having to settle for second last week point leader Kemkes left nothing to chance, racing from his 14th starting spot and to the lead on lap 4. Kemkes dominated the remainder of the event. Ryan Schmidt was second, Skyler Woods placed third and Dylan Schmidt had his best run of the season to take fourth.

In the Unified Street Stocks it was a family feud as Brooke Diefenthaler led early before her father Paul took over with 4 laps remaining. Paul pulled away to score his second win of the season and took over the point lead. Daughter Brooke had to settle for second. Travis Zirbel had a strong third place finish and Justin Jacobsen completed the top four.

Brett Deprez was victorious in the IMCA Sport Compacts, besting point leader Bailey Tate who took second and early leader Thomas Schulte placed third. Cody Booth completed the top four. The race went green to checker.
