MARCUS DUNBAR DOUBLES UP ON EAGLE RIVER SPEEDWAY FEATURE WINS, TRACK CROWNS
(Marinesco, Michigan racer cops B Mod and ERS late model titles as champions crowned in all the divisions)
(EAGLE RIVER, WI) August 25 –Marinesco, Michigan’s Marcus Dunbar sped to a pair of feature races and track championshipsat Eagle River Speedway Tuesday night.
Dunbar won the caution free B mod feature – sealing that division crown. To cap off the night the second-generation racer became a trivia question as he won the feature and the first ever ERS late model track crown.
Two other racers cemented their track titles with feature wins. Pulaski’s “Hot Rod” Snellenberger sealed his stock car track title with a feature win – holding off a hard charging C.J. Hedges of Tripoli for the victory.
Mya Towne of Boulder Junction was crowned the 600 Micro champion after capturing the division’s feature while Mason Zdroik captured the 300 Micro track title and one of the division’s main events. Ontanagon, Michigan’s Addison Dishaw collected the other 300 Micro feature.
Sugar Camp’s Jason Eisel placed second to Ontanagon, Michigan’s Dave Dishaw in the Unified Street Stock feature, earning enough points to capture the division track championship.
There will be no racing next Tuesday night, September 1. Instead the season finale will be a non-points event on Friday night, September 4. Chef Rene’s B Mods, Sweetwater ERS late models, Coffen Construction stocks, Eagle River Dock & Lift Unified street stocks, JD Archery 600 Micro Sprints and Hartman Well Drilling Junior Sprints will be in action.
