Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial Set for June 19 for World of Outlaws at Beaver Dam Raceway in 2021
BEAVER DAM, Wisc. — November 25, 2020 — The 2021 edition of the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial Presented by Karavan Trailers for the World of Outlaws Nos Energy Drink Sprint Car Series at Beaver Dam Raceway in Wisconsin is set for Saturday, June 19.
Brad Sweet, the two-time and defending World of Outlaws champion swept both races the series contested at Beaver Dam this past season. The California native also won the 2019 Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial and had four career wins at the high-banked, third-mile bullring.
The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series first competed at Beaver Dam Raceway in 1996, with former series champion Dave Blaney picking up the win in that event. A total of 15 drivers have visited victory lane with the series at the track in previous 28 A-Feature events over the last 24 years.
Another star-studded lineup of drivers is taking shape for the 2021 World of Outlaws campaign, led by Sweet as he chases his third straight series title. Donny Schatz, the 10-time series champion will be one of the main contenders as will Logan Schuchart, who finished a career-best third in the point standings in 2020.
Sheldon Haudenschild, who won a career-high seventh races this past season looks to battle for an Outlaws title, as does David Gravel, who moves to the Big Game Motorsports No. 2 machine. Carson Macedo, will be piloting the Jason Johnson Racing No. 41 and Jacob Allen, who earn his long-awaited first Outlaws win in 2020, will look to add to his win total. Aaron Ruetzel, the three-time and defending All Star Circuit of Champions title winner, will embark on his rookie season with the Outlaws in 2021, aboard the famed Roth Motorsports No. 83 as will Pennsylvania native Brock Zearfoss.
