JASON & BRANDON CZARAPATA COLLECT TROPHIES AT OUTAGAMIE SPEEDWAY
(Seymour, WI) July 3, 2020 Race Report- A grand total of 144 cars checked in to do battle for point night #3 of the season at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. Division counts were 37 IMCA Modifieds, 36 IMCA Sport Mods, 26 IMCA Stock Cars, 25 IMCA Sport Compacts and 20 Unified Street Stocks.
Mike Mullen raced to the lead on the second lap of the IMCA Modified feature. Mullen quickly pulled away from the field only to have several cautions slow his charge as Jason Czarapata and Brian Mullen gave chase. Cautions kept the paced slowed and the time limit ticking away. Mike Mullen once again pulled away on the restart but mechanical gremlins got the best of the #99 machine as his car came to a halt in turn 2. Czarapata inherited the lead as the time limit expired on the race, handing him the win. Brian Mullen was second, Benji LaCrosse raced from row 8 to place third, point leader Johnny Whitman was fourth and Wyatt Block Jr completed the top five.
Rod Snellenberger took the lead on the 7th lap of the IMCA Stock Car feature only to have it swiped away a lap later by Brandon Czarapata. Czarapata was able to hold off a hard charging Jeremy Christians to score his first win of the season. Christians had to the settle for second at the pay window, point leader Eric Arneson had to come through a last chance qualifier to place third, Dan Michonski was fourth and Chas Van Ooyen rounded out the top five.
In IMCA Sport Mod action it was defending co-champ Jayden Schmidt passing Derek Fehling with 3 laps remaining to score his first win of the season. Fehling was second and trailed at the line by Jeff Schmuhl, Bernie Miller and Cory Kemkes.
Jeff Richards held off a hard charging Jesse Krahn to pick up his second feature win of the season in the Unified Street Stocks.
