Jam The Stands at Rice Lake Speedway

Rice Lake WI – After another highly successful Street Stock Little Dream race and a weekend break, the staff and management of the Rice Lake Speedway are set to begin the sprint to the finish of the 2024 racing season at the track and invite the fans and drivers to join them.

A new event, never tried before at this track, will take place on Saturday night, August 10th with the first annual Jam The Stands night scheduled at the track. This was one of the first items on the agenda when Rice Lake Speedway LLC took over ownership of the track this year to have one night like this, and after a ten day break following the Little Dream, it is the perfect way to invite fans back to the track.

On Saturday night, August 10th, all admissions are just $5 whether you are an adult, a senior/military or a kid aged 10-15. As always, kids age 9 and under are always free. Pit passes will remain at $30.

All five divisions that regularly race at the track will be in action and that includes the WISSOTA sanctioned Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks.

Only two more nights of track points are on the schedule before the Season Championship races are held on Saturday night, August 24th. The closest point race is in the Super Stocks where Curt Myers holds a twenty one point edge over Eric Olson, who is seeking his fourth straight Super Stock title.

Joe Chaplin Jr, looking for his first ever Modified point title, holds a thirty seven point lead over Travis Anderson. Bob Wahlstrom leads Charlie Pitcavage by forty four points in the Pure Stock rankings while Mike Schnider is up by sixty points over Jake Stai in the Midwest Modified standings. The biggest lead is held by Street Stock driver Danny Richards who currently has a seventy three point cushion over Cody Cimfl. Only point shows on this coming Saturday, along with August 17thwhen the kids will have bike races at intermission, remain on the regular season schedule.

The season will conclude on August 31st and September 1st with the first annual Dairyland Dash doubleheader featuring the five divisions that race at the speedway weekly plus the USRA Limited Late Models and the UMSS Traditional and Winged Sprint Cars. The Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie is the co-sanctioned track for this season ending special event with more information to be released shortly on the Labor Day weekend doubleheader.
