Trent Nolan slides into victory lane at Outagamie Speedway

By Edward Anschutz

(Seymour, WI) July 9, 2021 Outagamie Speedway Race Report- Trent Nolan used a slide job to make a daring last corner pass to win the IMCA Stock Car feature. 129 checked in to do battle at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. There were 24 IMCA Modifieds, 27 IMCA Stock Cars, 33 IMCA Sport Mods, 25 IMCA Sport Compacts and 20 Unified Street Stocks.

Our next night of racing will be on Friday July 16th. The IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Sport Compacts and Unified Street Stocks will be in action.

In the rough and tumble IMCA Stock Cars it was Aaron Karcz racing to the lead over Devin Snellenberger. A caution on lap 5 bunched the field. Once again it was Karcz taking command over Snellenberger as the green flew. Trent Nolan made his presents felt working to third. Snellenberger kept the pressure on, looking low as Karcz ran up top. The pair ran side by side the remainder of the event until the white flag flew. Snellenberger muscled his way past Karcz to take the lead. Nolan used the contact to his benefit. Coming to the checker Nolan threw a slider, he and Snellenberger made heavy contact. When the dust settled it was Nolan taking home the win. Mike Coel raced to second, Rod Snellenberger was third, point leader Brandon Czarapata took fourth and Aaron Karcz rounded out the top five.

Brady Harshberger raced to the lead on the opening lap of the caution free IMCA Sport Mod feature. Harshberger built up a huge lead midway through the contest. As laps clicked away Bernie Miller secured second and began to chase down the leader. On the final lap Harshberger slipped high allowing Miller to pull to the back bumper. As they came to the checker it was Harshberger earning his first trophy of the season. Miller had a strong second place finish, Jayden Schmidt was third, Matthew Radtke took fourth and Scott Besaw placed fifth.

In the Unified Street Stocks Chad Naze jumped to the lead until David Hoerning took over on lap 2. Josh McDonald gave chase along with point leader James Fletcher. A caution on lap 9 slowed the field as McDonald tangled with a lap car, sending him to the tail. On the restart Fletcher worked to the outside of Hoerning, taking the lead on lap 12. Fletcher went on to score his first win of the season. Hoerning had to settle for second, Jesse Krahn placed third, Shanon Guelette took fourth and Paul White completed the top five.

“Mighty” Mike Mullen slid by Dan Roedl on lap 3 of the IMCA Modified feature to take the lead. A caution on lap 3 slowed the field. Once the race restarted Mullen set sail and went unchallenged to score his first feature win of the season and a clean sweep to boot. Jason Ebert had his best run of the season to place second, Cody Schroeder took third, Marcus Yarie placed fourth and Wyatt Block was fifth.

The IMCA Sport Compacts saw Clint Malueg, Skyler Bork and Justin Finlan trade the lead in the first 9 laps until point leader Tony Everard took the top spot on lap 10. His reign up front was also short lived as sparks began shooting out of the car, sending him pit side. TJ Everard inherited the lead on lap 13 and never looked back to score his first win of the season. Matt Brehmer was a close second, Al Cottrell placed third, Finlan took fourth and Thomas Schulte placed fifth.
