Rice Lake Speedway Announces Schedule Modification
By Ed Reichert
Rice Lake WI – With the end of the 2023 racing season quickly approaching, the Rice Lake Speedway has announced their remaining schedule and also made one modification to that schedule.
The Labor Day weekend race, scheduled for Saturday night, September 2nd, will now be a five class program featuring the same divisions that race at the track on a weekly basis. Originally, the USRA Limited Late Models were scheduled to make their third and final appearance of the year at the track but due to some scheduling conflicts with other tracks, their portion of the program has been dropped from that night.
The track will instead concentrate on the five divisions that make up the weekly program which would include the WISSOTA sanctioned Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks and Modifieds. Specific details on this event are expected to be announced shortly including purse structure etc.
However, before that night, the speedway has two more shows on their schedule to wrap up the regular season. On Saturday night, August 19th, the point season at the speedway will be completed with point champions crowned in all five classes. The annual bike races, a treat for both the kids and adults, will also be held on that night.
Wrapping up the regular season will the be Season Champioship races, to be held on Saturday night, August 26th. All drivers will be eligible to compete on this night with the starting format for the program to be announced. All five classes will be in action for a full program of racing.
