$10,000 UP FOR GRABS DURING 2018 COW BELL TOUR

After a successful first season of competition, The Cow Bell Street Stock Tour will be back in action in the summer of 2018. The brainchild of lifelong race fanatic Austin Weidner, the Cow Bell Tour brings together Street Stock racers from multiple sanctioning bodies and provides a unique opportunity to race at tracks in varying parts of Wisconsin. In the debut season of the tour, car counts averaged 41.5 competitors per event. Eight tracks make up the 2018 schedule. The tour will kick off on May 25th at the Spring Lake Speedway in Unity. June 10th the tour will make a stop at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour. June 29th the tour will race at its westernmost track, the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie. The tour will help celebrate Independence Day at the Luxemburg Speedway with a July 4th event. Its off to Francis Creek on July 19th for a battle at the 141 Speedway. Then, the tour will be right back in action the following night, July 20th at the new Gravity Park track in Chilton. Then its off to Wisconsin’s Northwoods for the final two events. July 29th the tour will hit the TNT Speedway in Three Lakes before the finale at the Eagle River Speedway in Eagle River on August 10th. Contingencies and point fund money are expected to total $10,000. Hoosier Tire is back on board with the tour this summer. They will award each event’s hard-charger with a new tire. Snap-On Tools distributer Jared Siefert will also award a $200 gift certificate to the hard-charger at the Luxemburg event. Zero 1 Shocks and Suspension of Webster City Iowa will provide shock rebuild certificates valued at $75 the pole sitter, feature winner, and last chance qualifier winner at each race. Maverick Motorsports will award a case of Penn Grade 1 oil to a randomly drawn driver at each event. R Store convenience stores will also provide two $25 gas cards to the 2 racers with the longest drives to the Spring Lake race. Additional contingencies are still in the works. Among those drivers already registered for the 2018 tour are defending co-champion Jim Randall of Rice Lake, Montello hotshoe Jeff Richards, brothers Kyle and Karl Genett of Rangeline, Beaver Dam’ Jesse Krahn, Brookfield brothers Alex and Adam Crapser, and Green Bay’s Matt Kaye. Final points will be calculated based on each driver’s best seven nights. In order for drivers to eligible for contingency and point fund money drivers must be registered for the tour.
