NASCAR’S KENNY WALLACE TO COMPETE AT TOMAHAWK SPEEDWAY’S COW BELL STREET STOCK TOUR RACE JULY 4
(Tomahawk, WI) – Former NASCAR star Kenny Wallace is slated to compete in Round II of the Cow Bell Street Stock Tour at Tomahawk Speedway Tuesday, July 4.
“Herman” as he is affectionately known will mix it up with the Tomahawk locals and the Tour regulars. The St. Louis, Missouri driver, who earned nine Busch series wins in his NASCAR career, will wheel a machine owned by Bill Brown.
In the tour’s inaugural event at Luxemburg Speedway earlier this year Luxemburg’s Scott Boulanger topped a stout, 50-plus car field. At Tomahawk, a semi-banked, third-mile clay oval, rest assured the locals will dig in their heels and prepare to defend their home turf. Among the locals will be current Tomahawk street stock point leader Derek Eberl of Tomahawk. Conover’s Dustin White is also expected to compete, along with Rice Lake’s Jimmy “The Blade” Randall. Randall is a two time winner of WISSOTA’s “Little Dream” race at Rice Lake Speedway and is a threat to win wherever he goes.
Among the Tour regulars expected at Tomahawk none has been tougher as of late than Paul Diefenthaler. Diefenthaler, from Manitowoc, recently scored the “hat trick” at Wisconsin ovals, winning feature races at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night, 141 Speedway Saturday night and at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour Sunday evening. Others expected to make the tow up to Tomahawk Speedway July 4 include two time Wisconsin state IMCA hobby stock champion Eddie “Eagle” Anschutz of Two Rivers, Manitowoc’s Josh McDonald, Paul Ambrosius, former Oshkosh Speedzone grand national champion Jeff Richards of Montello, Beaver Dam’s Jesse Krahn, Greenleaf’s Mike Carter, Luxemburg’s Dave “The Hammer” DeGrave, Denmark’s Justin Mahlberg, Waunakee’s Scott Riedner and Oshkosh drivers Frank Knaus, Jeff Jungwirth and Lexi Ashcraft.
Racing with the Cow Bell street stock tour will be the B-Mods, Pure Stocks, and Four Cylinders.
Pit gates will open at 4pm, Fan Gates at 5pm, with hot laps beginning at 6 p.m. and racing to follow. Draw cutoff is at 6 p.m. Admission prices for grandstands are $20 for adults, $10 for Children 5-17, Seniors, and Veterans, and Kids 5 and under will be free. Pit passes are $30 for drivers and $20 for non-drivers. For more information on the Tour check out widirtracin.com or you can follow us on Facebook or email us at .
