GREG CURZON, JOHN GREGORICH AND BRAD ANDEREGG INTO HILL HOF
(Sturgeon Bay, WI) 6/13/17 Press Release- On Sunday July 9 The Hill Raceway will induct Greg Curzon, John Gregorich and the late Brad Anderegg into its Hall of Fame. Stock Cars, Sport Mods, Street Stocks and Baby Bombers will be in action. The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at intermission. Racing starts at 2PM. We hope you can join us to pay tribute to these legends of racing.
Greg Curzon moved to Door County in the early 70’s becoming a threat to win each night he unloaded. From 1978 through 1988 racing Winged Super Modifieds, Greg won 80 features, set 29 qualifying records and won 7 track titles between Door County and Luxemburg. Curzon ran all over the midwest through his career, racing against the top drivers in the Sprint Cars.
John Gregorich put Kewaunee, Wisconsin on the map by winning the IMCA Stock Car National title in 1993, the first ever for a Wisconsin driver. Gregorich won multiple championships at The Hill, Luxemburg and Seymour. John was alway fast but once he hooked up with Gagne & Son’s Ford of Algoma and Kurt Gretz of Kewaunee, Gregorich was an unstoppable force in the 90’s.
Brad Anderegg began his racing career in the late 1970’s, racing in everything from Wing Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Street Stock and IMCA Modifieds. Anderegg found success and victory lane in just about any car he strapped into. Brad was also a IMCA tech official at the Hill for many years. Perhaps Anderegg was most famous for his knowledge of setting up race cars. Many of the biggest names who stepped foot in the winners circle had their cars scaled in his Algoma shop.
Curzon, Gregorich and Anderegg will join Irv Ettien, Les Sternard, Dale Knudson, Joe Haferkorn, Butch Georgenson, Fritz Van, Tom Wagner, Wally Massart, Darrell Massart, Reggie Cochart, Jerry Jonet, George Henkel and Clyde LeMieux Sr. in the Hall of Fame.
