Rice Lake Speedway Opener Rained Out
Rice Lake WI., April 15 – Snows earlier in the week, poor drying conditions and a steady downpour on Saturday morning all led to the opening night of the 2017 racing season at the Rice Lake Speedway to be postponed.
Track officials will try again on Saturday night, April 22 to get the racing season underway. Pit gates will open at 4 pm and the cars will hit the track at 6:30 pm for warm ups. WISSOTA sanctioned Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks will able to in racing action.
Because the practice night on April 12th was rained out, another attempt to get a practice session competed will be made on Wednesday, April 19th from 6-9 pm. This will be dependent on the weather of course, and the speedway website and facebook page should be monitored for up to date information. Call Dave Adams or Mitch Hansen for the latest information.
