Rice Lake Speedway Announces 2017 Hall of Fame Class
Rice Lake WI – The Hall of Fame Committee of the Rice Lake Speedway recently met to consider candidates and conduct the voting for the 2017 Rice Lake Speedway Hall of Fame class. They will join the forty four members that are currently in the Hall of Fame.
Selection was done in two categories for the Hall. Three drivers and three Friends of the Speedway were selected for induction this coming Summer. Selected in the driver category were Jim Rude, Paul Harelstad and the late Duane Mahder. The Friends of the Speedway group will add Joe Lapcinski, Terry Folz and Clayton Hargrave.
The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday night, August 12th during intermission of the race program on that night. Earlier in the evening, track owners Dave Adams and Mitch Hansen will host a reception at the track for the new inductees along with the existing members of the Hall.
