Saturday Night September 10th will bring the curtain down on another season for PDTR on the Fair Park oval in Plymouth.

2016 was a season that saw a record six programs cancelled be rain or inclement weather. Several other programs were shortened because of the weather.

This week’s program will feature season award winners announced and point battles looming in four of the five divisions that will compete.

In the Sprint Car division Kewaskum’s Donny Goeden is on track to win his third straight title with PDTR and sixth in his Hall of Fame career. Tim Haddy of Waupun is second, Kurt Davis of West Allis third; Brandon McMullen and Jim Melis round out the top five.

Tim Buhler of Glenbeulah looking for his first track championship with PDTR has a 19-point lead over three-time champion Brad Mueller. Chris Carlson of North Cape sits third 28 points back, followed by Jim Schmidt of Cleveland and Turk Letizia of Milwaukee.

In the Grand National division, Brian Cesar of Sheboygan is four points ahead of Matt Loehr of Dotyville. Former PDTR Grand National champions Matt Yancey (2008) of Sheboygan and Mark Fieber (2009) of Cascade are tied for third, 26 points off the lead while Steven Weber of Plymouth is fifth.

The closest battle is in the B-Mod class where Brandon Berth of Cascade leads Cody Eickberg of Plymouth by only two points. Brandon Knepprath of Kewaskum is third, followed by Glen Blanke of Sheboygan Falls in fourth and Gary Glander of Sheboygan Falls fifth.

Zach Boden of Madison leads the 600-Micro Sprint point standings with a 24-point lead over Denver Larsen of Neillsville. Andy Rein is third followed by Dylan Larsen and Emily Portschy of Plymouth.

In pre-race ceremonies the late Brian Portschy, long time racer, will be remembered and in honor of his number 55P car, $550.00 will be added to the A-main purse in all divisions that race weekly.

The Late Model A-Main has received extra money and will pay $1,000 to win and $200 to start.
