Aldag-Honald Mechanical Sprints pushed off for their 25 lap feature, drivers gave a four wide salute to fans before taking the green flag. Flagman Dave Diecher waved the green and an immediate red flag flew for Tony Wondra (Campbellsport) flipped over and Josh Teunisen (Waldo) tipped on his side in turn 1. Brandon McMullen (Plymouth) took his car to the pits for a flat tire. With no laps in a double file restart was under control of Lance Fassbender (Burnett) and Jim Melis (Glenbeulah) who set the pace. Fassbender wasted no time on this slick black track to go high and take the lead. Donny Goeden (Kewaskum) went outside Paul Pokorski (West Bend) for second on the high side as Melis looked down low. Kevin Karnitz (West Bend) and Justin Miller (Plymouth) were side by side for eleventh. Danny Schlafer (Sussex) rode the cushion seeking fourth place. Fassbender slowly pulled away from the hard charging Goeden in second. McMullen worked the high and low side for positions after his return from the pits earlier. Doug Pietz (Milwaukee) had sparks coming from his breaks, sparking going into the corners. Goeden used lapped traffic to his advantage and regained control of the field on lap 10. Schlafer broke and went off on lap 10. Zacary Raidart (Wadsworth, IL) and Dannon Tessmer (Allenton) swapped seventeenth place. Most drivers used the cushion, few drivers hugged the infield tires and a select held their own through the middle. Shane Wenninger’s (Kewaskum) first night back after being injured almost 3 months ago held off Tim Haddy (Waupun) for fifth. Melis looked inside Pokorski again for third; unfortunately lap traffic held him back. McMullen went outside and then inside for tenth. Goeden was continually lapping traffic on his way to another win. Doug Wondra (Oakfield) pulled off a wheelie coming down the front stretch. Will Gerrits (Waupun) and Andrew Westphal (Fond du Lac) swapped fourteenth place. Checkers flew for Goeden followed by Fassbender, Pokorski, Melis and Wennninger.
