(Luxemburg, WI)- The Track Champions and Chase Champions have been crowned for the 2016 season at Luxemburg Speedway.
Track Champions for 2016 are: Shawn Kilgore (IMCA Modifieds) Troy Muench and Dave Bouche (IMCA Stockcars) Randy Lemieux Jr (IMCA Sportmods) Scott Boulanger (Street Stocks) and Calvin Stueck (4 Cylinders.)

Chase Champions for 2016 are: Shawn Kilgore (IMCA Modifieds) Dave Bouche (IMCA Stockcars) Randy Lemieux Jr (IMCA Sportmod) Scott Boulanger (Street Stocks) and Calvin Stueck (4 Cylinders.)

Josh Lambert led the charge early in the IMCA Modified event. Lambert would hold a half straightaway lead over Josh Long once the race got rolling. Long would reel in Lambert by the time the caution flag fell on lap 10. When the race restarted it was the Josh Long Feature. Long grabbed the lead almost immediately and flew away for his first win of 2016. He bested Sean Jerovetz in the second position. Jeremy Jacobs, Tyler Hackett and Greg Gretz rounded out the top five. Shawn Kilgore was named the IMCA Modified Champion by six points over Jerovetz.

Travis VanStraten played the visitor roll in the IMCA Stockcars in 2016. VanStraten blew by the front row on the opening lap and set the pace throughout. Troy Muench entered the Feature event trailing Dave Bouche by three points. Muench came forward quick as Dave Bouche came from deep in the field. Muench made it to VanStraten’s bumper and would continue to work outside for the lead through a series of cautions. Bouche would have enough time to make a run through the field. VanStraten held off Muench to pick up the win. Kyle Frederick and Brett Wenzel finished third and fourth. Dave Bouche would make a late race push for fifth. Muench and Bouche were the Co-Champs for the IMCA Stockcar division.

Phil Mott started up front in the IMCA Sportmod Feature and set the pace with a whole slew of competitors behind. Kyle Raddant would eventually take the top spot and bring Chris Budzban with. Budzban tried different lines but could never make a race winning pass. Raddant won the Feature in front of Budzban. Doug Maurer finished third in front of Mott. Lucas Lamberies finished fifth. Randy Lemieux Jr finished in the eighth spot earning him the 2016 track title by one point over Budzban.

Jesse Krahn was another of the Street Stock drivers in visitor mode on the season. Krahn came from mid pack to the front of the field quickly. Krahn would lead with Dan Van Pay in tow. Van Pay kept with the top of the 1/3 mile but could never muster up enough to take the lead. Krahn kept Van Pay at bay to earn the win. Dylan Stedjee finished in the third position. Lexii Ashcraft finished fourth with Scott Boulanger fifth. Boulanger earned the Street Stock title over Van Pay by 12 points.

Roger Braun picked up his first 4 Cylinder Feature victory of the season after the 15 laps main event. Braun was never challenged and beat Brody Rivest to the line. Tony Fletcher finished third. Calvin Stueck beat Matt Brehmer for fourth. Stueck won the title over Brehmer by 10 points.

The final race of the season will be on Saturday, September 17th. The five regular divisions will be in action plus Grand Nationals.
