WILMOT, Wisc. — July 5, 2016 — A busy month awaits the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series as the calendar has flipped to July. Among the 14 races scheduled over a 28-day stretch is the O’Reilly Auto Parts Badger 40 at Wilmot Raceway in Wisconsin on Saturday, July 30.

Over the last week, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series raced three times, with seven-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz picking up a pair of wins, along with Brad Sweet, who is second in the standings, also scoring a victory.

Schatz won in the series debut at Rockford Speedway in Illinois on June 29. The historic quarter-mile was covered with dirt for the event. David Gravel, who has been the most consistent driver with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series over the last month, finished second, with Shane Stewart in third.

Sweet was victorious on July 2 at Badlands Motor Speedway in South Dakota, after an early race battle with Rico Abreu. For Sweet, it was his seventh win of the season, as he chases his first World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series title. Joey Saldana finished second, while Gravel was third.

Schatz returned to victory lane on July 3 at Badland*s Motor Speedway, taking the lead from Saldana on lap-27. The win was Schatz’s series-leading 12th of the season. For the second straight night, Saldana finished second and Gravel was third. Gravel has finished in the top-10 in 15 straight races.

In the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series standings, Schatz holds a 98-point advantage over Sweet. Stewart is currently third, 49 markers behind Sweet. Daryn Pittman, the 2013 series champion, sits fourth and is just four points out of third. Gravel is currently fifth, just six points out of fourth and 10 out of third. The remainder of the top-10 is Joey Saldana in sixth, Jason Johnson in seventh, Jason Sides in eighth, Logan Schuchart in ninth and Paul McMahan in 10th.

The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series competes this weekend in a pair of events at Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin.

Discount General Admission tickets can also be purchased at participating O’Reilly Auto Parts stores. Each General Admission ticket purchased at an O’Reilly Auto Parts location will feature a special $5 discount. Tickets buyers will exchange their O’Reilly receipt for tickets at the Main Grandstand ticket booth on race day.
