Manitowoc,WI,7/01/16—The final addition of the Harbor Town Showdown brought stiff competition in three divisions of racing. Mark Fieber, Travis Arenz, and Justin Pearson each became answers to future trivia questions by winning their respective features.
Mark Fieber led every lap of the Grand National feature en route to victory. Fieber fought off challenges from Brian Gilles to score the twenty lap win. Gilles finished in second followed across the line by Ryan Minster, Matt Jackson, and Aaron Streblow.

In Sport Mod action Nick Schultz led the opening two laps before mechanical gremlins brought his car to a halt bringing out a caution. Brandon Berth inherited the lead, but quickly felt pressure from Colton VanHierden and Cody Schroeder. On lap five Travis Arenz raced his way to second on the track, but he only stayed there one lap as he got inside of Berth on lap six and took away the lead. Arenz fended off challenges from Cody Schroeder and Brian Bruechert for the duration of the race. Arenz cruised to victory lane followed by Schroeder, Bruechert, VanHierden, and Travis Hansen.
The Legend feature began with Tim Vargo jumping into the lead on the opening lap. It didn’t take long though for Mike Mueller and Justin Pearson to catch Vargo. Vargo slid high on lap four allowing Mueller to take the lead away. Pearson followed Mueller past Vargo and in to second. Lap five saw Vince Bartolotta join the battle at the front by moving into third. On lap nine Bartolotta grabbed the lead from Mueller, while Pearson moved to second. Pearson pulled to the outside of Bartolotta on lap twelve and grabbed the lead. Pearson led the rest of the race for the win. Bartolotta finished second, Mueller third, Cody Apfelbeck fourth, and Austin Wiese fifth.
