Rice Lake WI, May 14 – With the brutal stretch of weather currently in the Midwest, track co-owners Mitch Hansen and Dave Adams made the call on Friday that conditions would be just too cold and miserable for racing to be held on Saturday night. The cancellation was the first of the 2016 racing season after the track had completed its first four programs without incident.

Racing action will now resume next Saturday night, May 21st with a five division program featuring the WISSOTA Polydome sanctioned Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks along with the Rice Lake Pure Stocks. Warm ups will commence at 6:30 p.m with racing to follow immediately.
When racing resumes next Saturday, current point leaders Ashley Anderson, Nick Oreskovich, Ryan Viltz, Cody Kummer and Jason Havel will look to stretch the lead in their individual divisions.
The first special event on the 2016 racing schedule comes up on Saturday, May 28th when along with the five division program, both the Winged and Traditional Sprints of the UMSS(Upper Midwest Sprint Series) will be on hand to provide a complete program in each of the sprint classes. Race time that night will be 6:30 p.m also.
