Ashland, WI, May 13 — Because of a week of wet weather and cool temperatures – and much more of the same forecast for the weekend – the staff of the ABC Raceway announced Friday that its 2016 season opener slated for Saturday, May 14, has been cancelled.
On Saturday, May 21, the Raceway will again attempt to kick off its season with a full five-division stock car racing program, to be presented by the Northern State Bank and Auto Value Auto Parts. Hot laps will be at 6:15 pm, and the first green flag of the season is scheduled to fly at 7. WISSOTA Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Mods and Pure Stocks, plus the track’s own Six-Cylinders, will be on hand.

Adult tickets will be just $11 each, and kids ages 12 and under will be admitted free with a paid adult admission.
The Upper Midwest’s only live pre-race radio program, “Z-93 Race Night,” will air Saturday on WBSZ, 93.3 FM, and online at www.wbszfm.com, from 4:30-6 pm with up-to-date track news and weather information.
The ABC Raceway is located 3-1/2 miles south of Ashland on State Highway 13 and one mile west on Butterworth Road. For raceday information call (715) 682-4990, or log on to the track’s website, www.abcraceway.com.
