(Francis Creek,WI)- Benji LaCrosse earned every inch of his 40 lap Modified Main Event. LaCrosse and Shawn Kilgore put on a Modified clinic which saw a chess match throughout the race. Giddy Up Western Wear, Mike Wedelstadt, 141 Speedway owners, Travis Spaulding Racing and T&S Trucking threw in extra money before the big dance to make the winner’s purse $1,700 to win.

Brandon Gagnon has been racing for six years and never etched his name into the Stockcar Feature win column. That all changed on Saturday night. Gagnon out dueled Brandon Czarapata to take home the $700 top prize.

Benji LaCrosse jumped out to a huge lead courtesy of his outside starting spot in the Modified Feature. LaCrosse looked to take home the top prize without a fight as he entered lapped traffic by lap 15. Shawn Kilgore would not let that happen. Kilgore worked back from a straightaway deficit to get to LaCrosse’s back bumper on lap 22. The final 18 laps saw Shawn Kilgore follow LaCrosse through lapped traffic at moments. When they weren’t dodging the lapped cars, Kilgore was working different lanes to make the pass. A few time Kilgore would be able to pull ahead mid corner but never able to make the pass. LaCrosse crossed the checkers with Kilgore attached at the hip but just ahead. Eric Scribner spent the majority of the race running in his finishing position of third. Johnny Whitman made a late race pass of Mike Mullen to round out the top five.

Brandon Gagnon rode the outside of the 1/3 mile to grab the lead of the Stockcar Feature. As Gagnon rode around up top, Brandon Czarapata made his way into the second spot and slowly gained ground on the leader. Back to back cautions on lap eight and nine kept everyone together like a close knit family. Czarapata would use the caution to get underneath Gagnon. Czarapata would inch closer lap after lap but Gagnon would hold him off using the momentum up top. Czarapata would find enough on lap 15 and lead the next two circuits. Gagnon would not be denied on this night. Gagnon would start throwing the car harder into turn three and the car would stick like glue. Gagnon charged back on the outside and re-grab the lead with three laps remaining. Gagnon kept Czarapata at bay to pick up his first career Feature win. Devin Snellenberger finished third with Dave Bouche charging to fourth. Kyle Frederick finished the weekend out with a pair of top five finishes.

Travis Arenz finished off his impressive rookie campaign with a Sportmod Feature win on the final night of the Creek Classic. Arenz dealt with one caution on lap five. Arenz never looked back and picked up the easy win and capped off a clean sweep night as he also won his heat. Jon Schultz picked up second place with a late race pass of Hunter Parsons. Dean Maurer was a guest driver and finished fourth. Christopher Budzban made his trip from Monkey’s Eyebrow, KY a successful one with his top five run.

Shawn Haydon started on the pole and showed why he is a former Street Stock Champion. Haydon would lead through a lap five caution and would go unchallenged the rest of the way. Kyle Riedner would hold off Dave Schmidt to take runner-up honors. Jesse Krahn finished with a fourth place finish. Kraig Koehler rounded out the top five.

Tim Reichenberger led the opening lap of the Grand National A Main but Steven Wirtz came along on lap two. Wirtz would lead the next couple of circuits but a spin would take him out of contention. Aaron Stolp was the fastest Grand National on this night. Stolp used the top of the track to turn his laps and pull away from the field from and pick up his $700 payday. The checkered flag was his third of the season. Brian Cesar finished second with Don Sorce solidly third. 2015 Champion Charlie Sancinati came home fourth with Kevin Naidl fifth.

Calvin Stueck finished off the clean sweep weekend in the Sport Compacts. He won both Features in convincing fashion. Evan Beattie finished second ahead of Matt Brehmer, Kasey Gross and Joe Minks.
