(Francis Creek, WI)- Ricky Thornton Jr came from Chandler, AZ to race against Wisconsin’s best 48 Modified drivers at 141 Speedway’s Creek Classic. He took home top honors on night number in a dominating performance. 245 cars competed in 6 divisions.

Other winners included Brandon Czarapata(Stockcars) Scott Boyea(Sportmods) Greg Haese(Grand Nationals) Rob Maule(Street Stocks) and Calvin Stueck(Sport Compacts.)

Mike Dauphinais led the opening lap of the Modified feature. He quickly came under fire from from Ricky Thornton Jr. Thornton grabbed the lead on lap two and never looked back. Mike Mullen started in the fifth row and moved to the top five strategically but ran out of time to make a charge at the leader. A caution with four laps remaining gave everyone one more chance at Thornton. Thornton got a great jump and took the checkered flag comfortably. Mullen made a late charge to finish second. Eric Scribner ran up front all race and finished third. Shawn Kilgore came from the fifth row to finish fourth. Johnny Whitman rounded out the top five.

44 Stockcars showed up to compete on night #1. Greg Wichman started the Stockcar Feature as the man in charge with Kyle Frederick hard at him. Frederick tried multiple grooves and moved outside of Wichman on lap five. A Belgian side by each battle occurred for the majority of the race with Frederick up top and Wichman down low. Frederick finally cleared him but stayed in the middle groove. Frederick would lead into a caution with five laps remaining. Enter Brandon Czarapata. Czarapata used the restart to stay with Frederick. With Frederick running the middle, that gave Czarapata all the clean air he wanted down low. Czarapata would even things up as the white flag came flying. Czarapata would charge on the final lap and clear Frederick for the win. Shawn Wagner flew late to finish third. Wichman finished fourth with Dustin Loberger fifth.

2015 Sportmod Champ Hunter Parson dominated the early portion of the Feature event by moving from fourth to first. Scott Boyea ran second and took his time running the bottom of the 1/3 mile. Parsons would run the top of the track with Boyea saving his car down low when a caution would fly on lap seven. Parsons got a good jump but Boyea tracked him down. Boyea took the lead on lap 13 and never looked back in picking up the win. Brandon Schmitt moved up to finish second. Parsons held off a hard charging Tracy Wassenberg for third. Rookie of the Year Travis Arenz finished fifth.

Rob Maule went to the grocery store. He got what he needed an checked out in the Street Stock Feature. Maule went from ninth to first by lap six and never looked back. He sat through a caution on lap 14 and pulled away immediately. It was an all visitor top four as Maule picked up the win over Jesse Krahn. Cooper Berlin made a charge to finish third ahead of Kyle Riedner. The first 141 regular driver finished fifth in 2015 Champ Paul Diefenthaler. 45 Street Stocks competed on night #1.

Greg Haese went from retirement to semi-retirement to victory lane in the Grand National Feature. Haese would lead the inaugural lap but Tim Reichenberger would move ahead on lap two. Reichenberger would lead until lap nine. Haese would move back up front and take home the top honors. Dan Schumacher would run to second with visitor Barry Maas finishing third. Kevin Naidl finished fourth with Justin Brown rounding out the top five.

Calvin Stueck fended off the boys in picking up the Sport Compact Feature. He took the checkered flag with Jay Orr hot on his heals. Brian Johnson, Kasey Gross and Mike Zitzer trailed at the checkers.
