The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds find Eric Scribner atop the standings with 412. Eric Arneson moved back into the runner up spot last week and sits at 409. Rookie contender, 15 year old Konnor Wilinski, has continued to improve all season and is sitting third in the season standings with 403. That happens to be nine better that 4th place, Jerry Wilinski, Konnors dad. Mike Wedelstadt is one behind in 5th at 393. T.J. Smith rounds out the top six with 384. In 14 races this summer, there have been 10 different feature winners in the highly exciting division.
The Coors light IMCA Stock Cars have provided some fantastic racing this summer. There have been 5 different feature winners and in the very competitive division with Travis Van Straten having a strong season not only here with 7 feature wins, but in Northeastern Wisconsin as he nears 30 feature victories. He has extended his point lead to 23 (468-445) over defending champion, Rod Snellenberger, who has 3 features to his credit. Two time feature winner this season, Chas Van Ooyen, Jr, sits third in the standings with 436. Kyle Frederick is always a threat at any race, and although he has not picked up a feature win here yet this season, he consistently places in the top five to be fourth in points with 425. Mike Schmidt has one feature win and is fifth at 391. Phil Hiles has inched his way into the top six after last week with 372.
The O’Reilly Auto Parts IMCA Sport Mod division has seen two drivers, current point leader, Lucas Lamberies (460), and defending champion, Jeremy Cota (451) accumulate 11 of the 14 features run this season. Cota 6 and Lamberiues 5.
Lamberies used a 2 race streak at mid season to take the point lead away from Cota, but he has won the last 2 weeks to inch closer with 2 point nights remaining after this week. Consistent runs by Travis Arenz has him sitting third in the standings at 428 followed by Kevin Bethke (411), Scott Bessaw (397) and J.J. Andersen 6th with 356.
The Turbo Blue Street Stocks have been a fun division to see compete week in and week out. Jeff Jungwirth and Allan Schlueter were early season point leaders before Lexii Ashcraft used a three week streak at mid season to move on top of the standings. She has 4 feature win to her credit this summer. Schluter has regained some momentum the past couple weeks and with his 4th feature win this season, last week, has moved back into the point lead with a 457-453 margin over Ashcraft. Jungwirth is only one behind in third. Defending champion, Ryan Blank, battled early season gremlins that kept him out of the hunt, it seemed, until mid season. Two feature wins in the past three weeks put him in fourth place in the standings and a legitimate shot at a repeat. Last week, while leading the feature. the engine let go on the front chute and the car was caught by several other cars. The result was too many repairs causing an early end to his season. Matt Warner and Jeff Dorschner round out the top six in the standings.
The 4 Cylinder division also continues to entertain with close racing every week. The divisions has put 9 different drivers in victory lane with feature wins so far this season. Kasey Gross is currently leading the way with 447 points. He used a 3 win sprint in four weeks to take over the top spot from Tanner Westphal. Carl King has 2 feature wins this season and sits second with 439. Tyler Hungerford has one feature to his credit and sits third at 437. Westphal won his second feature 2 weeks ago and is a close 4th with 431. Taylor Becher is 5th at 351 and Heidi Meverden rounds out the top six at 328.
We hope you can all join us for an exciting night of racing< Tonight, at the Seymour Speedway.
