Summer Holiday Classic finale this Sunday, August 23, at Seymour

Seymour, August 19- The final installment of the 2015 Summer Holiday Classic series is set to take place this Sunday, August 23, at the Seymour Speedway, sponsored by Joe Schwister’s Repair and Toad Creek Tap.

Our five regular weekly divisions will be competing for an increased payoff in all divisions. The WDLMA Late Models will be joining the program Sunday for the second last leg of their Lucky 7 Series.

The Late Models will be running a full program which will draw for heats and passing points set the dashes, consy and feature lineups. They will compete in a 40 lap feature headliner.

Regular line up procedures will be used for the five weekly divisions.

Brad Mueller is leading the lucky 7 series standings with 71 points. Taylor Scheffler is holding second place with 66 with Justin Ritchie third with 61. Rick Scheffler is in fourth with 60 and Justin Schmidt is fifth holding 54 points. A total of 25 drivers have earned points in the series and a field of 27 was on hand at the Seymour Speedway for their last visit on July 19.

The Kids Club will have a Bike Give Away courtesy of Giddy UP Western Wear.

Pit gates open at 4 PM

Admission $25.00 for everyone. Discounts for minors

Late Sign in and LM draw cut off is 5:15.

Drivers Meeting at 5:30

LM Hot Laps 5:45 (T)

Racing at 6 PM.

Grandstand opens at 4:30

Adults 18-55 $15.00

Students 13-18 and Seniors 55+ $10.00

Kids 12 and under FREE with paid adult.

Following this program, there will be 2 races remaining on the 2015 schedule.

Full regular program on Sunday August 30.

The final race of the season will be the final point night for all divisions and will take place on Labor Day weekend, Sunday September 6.

There will be NO racing at the Seymour Speedway on Sunday September 13.

This coming Tuesday, August 25, will be the final practice of the season. Anyone can test and tune their cars from 5-8 PM. Cost is $15.00 to enter the pit. Grandstand is open free to watch.

As the season winds down, the weekly point chases are heating up. All drivers need to be on their A Game and have a bit of Luck as well.
