Jim Falls, Wisconsin (August 16, 2015) the Eagle Valley Speedway was in action Sunday, August 16, 2015, as Quality Propane and Fuels sponsored the EVS Hornets, EVS Pure Stocks, and the WISSOTA Poly Dome Dirt Track Series sanctioned Street Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Modifieds. Feature winners included Nick Koehler, Tommy Richards, Shane Halopka, Danny Richards, Mike Knopps, and William Voeltz. In addition, track points champions were decided as the 2015 winners are Mike Anderson, Tommy Richards, Shane Halopka, Danny Richards, George Richards, and Darrel Komro.

The Modified heat as won by Jake Hartung as Nick Koehler sat on the pole in the Gibson owned 60 with Jay Richardson on his outside. Koehler drove to the initial lead as Richardson settled in, passed for the lead, and set sail. Richardson looked strong at the point, but Koehler discovered the ultra-high groove and moved back into the lead. Matt Leer followed suit and moved to second. A spinning Hartung reset the field and put the powerful Leer on Koehler’s rear bumper, but Koehler acted as if he had been there before and cranked it back up on the very high line and left the rest to battle for second. It was Koehler winning his first ever Modified feature in convincing fashion as Leer beat the recovering Hartung. Richardson finished fourth as track champion, Mike Anderson rounded out the top five.
Mike Anderson and Tommy Richards were the heat winners in the Super Stocks and the two later battled for the feature victory. The feature was led to the green by Tony Falkner and Curt Hazelton as Ralph Stark came from the second row to lead early. Meanwhile, Richards and Anderson were putting on a show as they drove through the field to the front. Richards got there first and Anderson followed as the two drove away from third place Randy Spacek. Stark held onto fourth but was overtaken by Scott Geiger. A spinning Falkner reset the field and on the green, Richards hung in the low line as Anderson skated to the cushion on the high side. A Matt Koski spin allowed everyone to regroup and upon going green, Spacek spun as Geiger was called for the foul. They made one last restart and track champion Richards drove to the victory with Anderson in his shadow. Spacek finished third over Stark and Falkner.
The Midwest Modified heats were won by Nick Koehler and Shane Halopka as the two started in the fourth row of the feature and both diced their way to the front. Initially, Antonio Pintaro, who started outside of Bob Wood on the front row, raced to the point. It was Halopka getting past Pintaro for first as Koehler followed him a lap later. At the hallway point, they battled one, two, and three as they entered heavy lapped traffic. A spinning James Kannegiesser reset the field and allowed the trio to group back together. On the restart, Halopka lead but Koehler clawed at the bottom of the track trying to power past. Halopka seemed to weather the challenge and settle in when Brad Seavers found the turn one wall and Koehler was given another opportunity. On the start, Koehler again powered low as the duo raced the final three laps very closely. Koehler was able to get his nose underneath on the white flag lap but the track champion, Halopka was just too good and maintained the position for the win. Pintaro beat Wood and Mike Knudtson to the checkers filling out the top five.
The Street Stocks heat and feature were won by Danny Richards as he notched a clean sweep on his way to the track championship. Travis Hazelton and Nate Hauge led the feature to green with Hazelton taking control. Richards closed on the leader and methodically took the point; however, Hazelton didn’t go away easily. Tyler Wahlstrom closed to battle with Hazelton as Richards began to gain more control out front. As the laps waned, Ron Hanestad was able to catch the two racing for second and make it a three car battle. Although he passed for third, Wahlstrom fought back. At the finish, it was Richards comfortably over the very tight group of Hazelton, Wahlstrom, and Hanestad, as Adam Soltis came home in fifth.
The Pure Stock heats were won by Mike Knopps and Brett Myers as Knopps swept the night winning the feature. James Clausen and Cody Tisdale started on the front row as the two drove nearly two laps side by side for the lead. However, coming off the fourth turn on the second lap, they were joined and the race was four wide at the line. Heading down the backstretch, it was Knopps in the lead over Dustin Holub and track champion George Richards. There were no changes in the top three as Knopps drove away from the other two’s fight for position. Late in the going, Lucas Kallenbach close to battle with Holub and Richard but he settled for fourth. It was Brett Myers finishing fifth at the line.
The Hornet heats were won by William Voeltz and Chad Prissel as Voeltz went on to sweep the nights action. It was Dean Butler and Shane Lindseth on the front row of the feature which took four attempts to get underway. Two minor cautions and one red flag halted racing with the worst incident by far seeing track champion, Darrell Komro drive into the backstretch wall seemingly head on and roll his car. He was not hurt but his night was over. On the fourth attempt, it was Butler driving into the lead but soon thereafter, Voeltz and Bob Seidler joined him to make it a three wide fight for the point. Voeltz secured the position as Seidler moved into second when a spinning Shane Lindseth slowed the pace once again. On the restart, Chad Prissel came to a stop on the backstretch drawing the final caution of the evening. They were able to get a long green flag run as Voeltz stretched his lead over Seidler and Dan Prissel who had a solid lead over fourth running Chad Prissel. Although Chad did close on the second place battle, he ran out of laps to advance position, and settled for fourth, as Butler was scored in the fifth position.
