Seymour, August 15- The Seymour Speedway is getting set for t big night of racing tomorrow night, Sunday August 16.

Beavers Hut of Freedom is the title sponsor presenting a full five division program on the 1/3 mile banked clay oval.

It is also Fan Appreciation Night with all general admission tickets only $5.00.

As the 2015 season enters the final four weeks of sompetition, the point battles are also very tight.

Eric Scribner and Eric Arneson find themselves in a tie atop the Budweiser IMCA Modified division with 372 points each. Scribner picked up his second feature win this season acouple weeks ago and although Arneson has not won a feature, his consistant top 5 finishes have kept him in the running all season. Rookie contender,16 year old Konnor Wilinski, has been strong all season, and has picked it up the past few weeks, almost winning his first career feature last week. He finds himself in third place with 367 points, five ahead of his dad, Jerry Wilinski, in fourth place. Mike Wedelstadt was involved in a lap 2 accident last week and dropped from second place to fifth. T.J. Smith rounds out the top six in the standings.

The Coors Light IMCA Stock Car division has seen Travis Van Straten, be a dominant figure all season, not only here at the Seymour, but all local tracks. He has won 6 features so far and is working toward a 30 win season. He holds a 22 point margin, 428 – 406, over defending champion, Rod Snellenberger, who broke a three win streak by Van Straten last week by winning his third feature this season. Sitting only 6 behind Snellenberger is Chas Van Ooyen, Jr, who has run to 2 feature wins so far, and has been a consistant runner in the top five all season. One behind Van Ooyen is Kyle Frederick with 399. The blue #50 has also been a top five finisher most of the season looking for that first feature flag. Mike Schmidt has a feature win and is fifth so far with Barry Van Straten rounding out the top six.

Defending O’Reilly Auto Parts IMCA Sport Mod champion, Jeremy Cota, and Lucas Lamberies have been in season long battle for the top spot with Lamberies currently holding a 423 – 411 margin. Both have run in streaks and both have won five features this season. Both run very strong here and it should be an excellent run to the final point night on September 6. Travis Arenz has made a run as of late and sits third at 392 over Kevin Bethke fourth with 376. Scott Besaw and J.J. Andersen round out the top six.

The Turbo Blue Street Stocks have provided some very good racing each week and finds Lexii Ashcraft holding the top spot since running to a string of three straight feature wins in July. Allan Schlueter has been very strong the past couple races and has now moved into a tie for the point lead at 417 each. Jeff Jungwirth is only 4 back in second place with defending champion, Ryan Blank, now in the hunt after last weeks strong feature win, his third of the year, sits with 409. Early season mechanical woes all but sidelined Blank this year, but has re-grouped and is back in championship form for the final run this season. Matt Werner and Jeff Dorschner round out the top six spots.

Tanner Westphal was leading the standings in the 4 Cylinder division until Kasey Gross put together back to back wins before the fair. Westphal won his second feature last week and the pair are now tied at 410 each heading into this seek. Carl King also has 2 big feature wins that has him third in points at 400. Tyler Hungerford is one back in fourth at 399. Taylor Becher is fifth and Heidi Meverden holds down sixth place.

The racing this season has seen everyone at the top of their game on Sunday night with plenty of three, four and five wide racing week in and week out. It appears that top level of competition will continue for the final 4 weeks of 2015.
