(Francis Creek, WI)- Shawn Kilgore has many accolades in his racing career. As of Saturday night he can add Red, White and Blue Series Champion to the list. Kilgore picked up the IMCA Modified win in the finale of the series. With the win, he earned two victories and a second place finish in the three race swing. Kilgore wins a Crate Motor from Gandrud Chevrolet for his efforts. He also won $1,210 for his victory.

Other feature winners included: Barry VanStraten(IMCA Stockcars) Kelsy Hayes(IMCA Sportmods) Scott Boulanger(Street Stocks) Aaron Stolp(Grand Nationals) and Mike Zitzer(IMCA Sport Compacts.)

The race winning move in the IMCA Modified Feature was at the drop of the green flag. Shawn Kilgore made quick work of the field as he jetted from his outside starting spot and into the lead. Kilgore built up a straightaway lead in just three laps. Runner-up finisher in the series, Johnny Whitman made his way from fifth to second in those same three laps but had a straightaway deficit to over come. Whitman searched the whole speedway trying to catch the leader as Kilgore entered lapped traffic on lap nine. Kilgore would have to be a little cautious the last five laps as he got behind lapped cars fighting for position. This allowed Whitman to reel in the leader. Kilgore took his time and never pushed the issue in taking the win. Whitman got to within two car lengths on the final corner but finished second. Kyle Kudick finished third after a race long battle with Eric Scribner. R.M. VanPay rounded out the top five.

Joe Brenner set the pace for the opening lap of the IMCA Stockcar Feature. Larry Karcz came around the leader on lap two and looked to be the man on this night. Barry VanStraten decided to not allow that and would make his big for the lead down low on lap six. VanStraten would get a good run on Karcz and grab the lead for good on lap eight. VanStraten would have to keep everyone near and dear to him through two mid race cautions. Brett Wenzel and Todd Augustian would use these cautions to make their ways passed Karcz. Wenzel would try different lanes late in the race but could never mount a perfect charge. VanStraten would say “Hello” to victory lane for the second time on the season in front of Wenzel. Augustian ran a great race to finish third. Karcz came home fourth with Rick Mahlberg fifth.

Phil Mott graced our presence as leader of the IMCA Sportmod Feature early. Sawyer Haese jumped up top and into the lead on lap two. Haese would lead until things calmed down because of a yellow flag on lap four. Kelsy Hayes looked strong down low and snatched the top spot on the bottom and never looked back. Vince Engretbson worked his way to second and reeled in the leader late but Hayes was just to strong in taking home the win. Engrebston finished second in front of both Bill Edler and Josh Lambert. Robby Thiel finished fifth.

Tim Mueller led the opening lap of the Street Stock Feature before giving way to Matt Reinke. Reinke would dominate the field until the only caution on lap seven. Scott Boulanger quickly made his way through the field and slithered his way passed Reinke for the lead on lap 10. Boulanger would go unchallenged over the final half of the race on his way to his seventh win. Reinke picked up a season best runner-up finish. Mueller ran to his season best of third in front of Mike Conard. Ray Fuller took home fifth place points and money.

No Grand Nationals ran out of the gas with all the cautions in the Grand National Feature, which was a good thing for the great ending. Glen Blanke ran to the lead for the opening lap of the feature with Seth Hoeffner in tow. Hoeffner would power into the lead on lap three. Hoeffner would keep everyone behind him through a race filled with cautions. Hoeffner would be in charge but disaster would strike with two laps remaining. Hoeffner lost a tire in turn four and spun collecting point leader Kodi Wirtz, ending both driver’s nights. When the race resumed it was Terry Van Roy commandeering the ship. Aaron Stolp had started the feature event in the 20th starting position and picked his way through the field. On the final restart, Stolp stayed up top on the speedway and worked outside Van Roy and into the lead coming to the white flag. Stolp stayed strong on top and grabbed his second feature win of the season in front of Van Roy. Glen Blanke raced to a season best third place finish ahead of Steven Wirtz. Jeff Tondryk finished fifth in his first run at 141 Speedway.

Mike Zitzer seemed to defy speed barriers in picking up his first IMCA Sport Compact Feature win. Zitzer dominated the event taking home the checkers over Matt Brehmer, Scott Johnson, Kyle Dimmick and Roger Braun.
