Sunday, Race Day at Seymour. WDLMA joins in the fun TONIGHT

Seymour, July 19 – 9 AM – It’s race day and what a beautiful day it is going to be.

The past two, hot, humid days are gone leaving a warm, sunny, breezy day to welcome the WDLMA Late Model Lucky 7 series to the Seymour Speedway tonight.

The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Coors Light IMCA Stock Cars, O’Reilly Auto Parts IMCA Sport Mods, Turbo Blue Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders, along with the Thunder Trucks will fill out the program which is sponsored by Swinkles and Victory Vinyl.

The return of WDLMA has been high on the expectation list here at Seymour since the Memorial Day visit was rained out. The recent addition of “rookies” Jared Siefert and Mike Mullen to the veteran Late Model field, and both having garnered feature wins only a couple weeks in, has drawn a renewed attention to the division. Mullen used the practice session last Tuesday night to get used to the late model on his home track where he has had a bit of success in the iMCA Modified. He has one feature win this season and 7 overall, and was the division Rookie of the year in 2006. Siefert was a 2000 Rookie in the Modifieds and Champion here in 2005. He has 13 Modified feature wins at Seymour which is 7th on the all time list. WDLMA expects a full field to compete in tonights Lucky 7 series 30 lap main event.

Pit opens at 4 PM

Regular divisions will line up by averages, WDLMA will draw/redraw. Cut off for both is 5:15

Pit admission is $25 with discounts for minors.

Drivers meeting at 5:30

Racing at 6 PM.

Grandstand opens at 4:30.

Admission tonight:

Adults 19-55 $13.00

Students 13-18 / Seniors 55+ $10.00

Kids 12 and under FREE with paid adult.

Racing starts at 6 PM.

Kids Club tonight will have a Bike Giveaway sponsored by area Kwik Trip.

Reminder there is NO racing here at the Seymour Speedway next Sunday, July 26, due to the Outagamie County Fair.

Racing returns on Sunday August 2, with the only appearance of the Outlaw IRA Sprint Cars, along with our full regular program.
