Jim Falls, Wisconsin (July 05, 2015) the Eagle Valley Speedway was in action as Southworth Chevrolet and Tim’s Automotive sponsored racing action with the EVS Hornets, EVS Pure Stocks, and the WISSOTA Poly Dome Dirt Track Series sanctioned Street Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Modifieds. Feature winners included Kevin Adams, Curt Myers, Shane Halopka, Danny Richards, George Richards, and Darrel Komro.

The Modified heat winner Kevin Adams wasted no time as he took to the high groove at the green of the feature and moved from fourth to the lead on lap one. Adams would never be challenged the entire distance in a race which was only slowed once by caution. Behand Adams, the front row of Jay Richardson and Zack Drews battled for position for several laps. Jake Hartung closed and overtook third and as he attempted to pass for second, spun in turn two. He pulled off the racetrack prior to the restart which Adams again controlled. Drews went on to finish an impressive second as Steve Hallquist had a nice run to third. Mike Anderson and Jay Richardson filled out the top five.
Curt Myers came into the event sporting 20 feature win stickers on his car on the fourth of July weekend and would add to his total as he swept the Super Stocks again. Mark Stender and Mike Anderson held the front row as Anderson moved to the lead and Myers challenged. Anderson appeared up to the task as the two drove away from third place Tommy Richards but began to fade as he gave up the lead and dropped back to battle with Richards. Well past halfway, it became apparent Anderson had a tire going down as it went flat and he came to a stop, drawing the caution. Anderson changed a tire in the work area and returned to the rear of the field. Myers was too strong for Richards as he drove away to the checkers. Stender finished third as Anderson recovered for fourth. Fifth place went to Rick Hallquist.
The Midwest Modified heats were won by Michael Truscott and Shane Halopka which showed a glimpse of things to come. It was Ross Fuhrman and Bob Wood on the front row as Wood grabbed the initial lead. A lap two yellow for a spinning Wayne Braun Jr. and James Kannesgeisser caused a restart with Wood at the point. At the green, Wood drove hard and well on the high side as Halopka moved in to challenge below. Kannesgeisser drew the yellow with a spin and Halopka used the restart to pass for the lead. One lap later, Wood spun on the very high side of turn one and collected Kent Baxter. With Wood relegated to the rear, the race restarted with eighth starting Truscott working under Halopka to challenge for the lead. The yellow flag flew again for the spinning Kannesgeisser slowing the action. Shortly after the restart, Fuhrman spun at the hands of Daniel Tautges. The final restart saw Halopka drive to the win as Truscott tried to battle past in the low line. Behind them, Jake Smith loomed waiting for a mistake to capitalize upon. The three finished one, two, three as twelfth starting Mike Knudtson motored to fourth and Brad Seavers finished fifth.
The Street Stock heat was won by Jay Kesan who started outside of Adam Soltis on the front row of the feature. At the initial green, Soltis spun in turn four as the race was starting drawing the yellow. He was pushed off the track and did not return. Kesan led immediately after the race did begin on the next attempt as fifth starting Danny Richards began to close to challenge. Richards caught the leader and passed for the point on the outside. Tyler Wahlstrom came to a stop in turn one, drawing a yellow flag and shortly thereafter, the yellow flew again as Nate Hauge was sent to the rear for causing Travis Hazelton to spin. Hazelton restarted but couldn’t get to speed and pulled off with the field remaining green. Kesan came back into play and drove below Richards for the lead but a lap or two later, Richards moved back into the lead and stretched the distance over Kesan to the checkered flag. Kesan himself had a comfortable lead over third finishing Wahlstrom as Hauge and Hazelton finished in the top five.
In a night of sweeps, George Richards won both the Pure Stock heat and feature taking the lap one lead over Cody Tisdale and Nicholas Hazelton. Tisdale ran strong in second for several laps as Dustin Holub ran in third. A spinning Pat Smith slowed the action and sent Hazelton to the rear. At the restart, Richards continued on as Tisdale and Holub swapped position. Brent Miller and Steve Cross spun together and Cross was relegated to the rear. The race started again but on the backstretch, Miller spun and collected Cross. Miller was called for the caution as Cross was towed from the track. Under the same caution, Tisdale gave up his position and retired from the event and Smith was scored in third. The remaining distance saw Richards continue to dominate as Holub finished second. Lucas Kallenbach made a last corner pass for third as Smith and Hazelton rounded out the top five.
The Hornet heats were won by Darrell Komro and Chad Prissel as Fred Lunsman and Shane Lindseth led the feature to green. Lindseth lead the opening lap but fifth starting Komro flexed his muscle early and often as he took the lead and never looked back as he drove to a convincing first career feature win. The race for second was won by Dan Prissel and Chad Prissel had a late race dash to third. Lindseth and Langbecker filled out the top five.
The Eagle Valley Speedway will return to action on Sunday, July 12, 2015 as Coca Cola Enterprises sponsors all six classes of cars with the EVS Hornets, EVS Pure Stocks, and the WISSOTA Poly Dome Dirt Track Series sanctioned Street Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Modifieds. Once again, Oium Blacktop and Kelly Oium Well Drilling and Pump Service will give away a bicycle to one lucky boy and girl!
