Rain Washes Out Sprints at ABC; Super Stock Special Reset for June 27

Ashland, WI, June 20 — Heavy overnight rains took their toll on the ABC Raceway’s red-clay surface, forcing track officials to cancel Saturday’s race program.
The fourth cancellation of the 2015 season wiped out the season’s lone visit by the traveling Interstate Racing Association’s 410 “outlaw” winged sprint cars, which was to be presented by the NAPA Auto Parts stores of Ashland and Washburn.

The night’s other main attraction – the second leg of the three-track, three-night FastLane Motorsports Northland Super Stock Series – has now been rescheduled as part of the track’s June 27 race program, which will also include the Raceway’s annual “Cure for Cancer” fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, to be presented by Northern Clearing Inc of Ashland.
Hot laps begin at 6:15 pm, and the first race gets underway at 7. Adult tickets are just $10 each, and kids ages 12 and under admitted free with a paid adult admission. Fans who still have their admission wristbands from the rain-shortened June 6 program at ABC can use them for admission to the June 27 show. “Z-93 Race Night” will air Saturday on WBSZ, 93.3 FM, from 4:30-6 pm with up-to-date track news and weather information.
The ABC Raceway is located 3-1/2 miles south of Ashland on State Highway 13 and one mile west on Butterworth Road. For raceday information call (715) 682-4990.
