BEAVER DAM, Wisc. — June 18, 2015 — The World of Outlaws have been making a trip to Beaver Dam Raceway for each of the last 13 seasons. That tradition will continue on Saturday, June 27 as the “Greatest Show on Dirt” visits the high-banked, third-mile bullring for the Sixth Annual Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial Presented by Karavan Trailers.

Brad Sweet won the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial last season, taking the lead on the 24th lap from polesitter Bill Balog, who traded the top spot a couple of times early in the race with Cody Darrah. Sweet was out front for the final 17 laps to earn what was a very emotional victory for his entire team. The Kasey Kahne Racing driver was involved in a very scary crash the night before in Iowa that saw him break an ankle and have his car end up in two pieces. Less than 24 hours later, he was back in the car and in victory lane at Beaver Dam Raceway.

The inaugural Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial was held in 2010 and Joey Saldana picked up the win. He repeated the next year, and to date is the only repeat winner of the event. Overall, the native of Brownsburg, Indiana has three wins in his career with the World of Outlaws at Beaver Dam Raceway, which has him tied with 2013 series champion Daryn Pittman for the most wins with the series at the track.

Kraig Kinser, who is pilots the No. 11K, owned by his father Steve, the 20-time World of Outlaws champion, won the Jim Boyd “JB” Memorial in 2012. Donny Schatz, the six-time and defending World of Outlaws champion, has one win with the series at Beaver Dam, with that coming in 2002. Schatz, the current series point leader has won 14 races thus far as he chases his seventh title and closes in on the 200-win mark for his career with the series.

Shane Stewart, who sits second in points, driving for the Larson Marks Racing team, which is co-owned by Kyle Larson, has four wins this season and is looking for his first victory at Beaver Dam Raceway.

Sammy Swindell, the three-time World of Outlaws champion, will be in action at Beaver Dam Raceway, filling in for the injured Jason Johnson in the No. 41 machine. Swindell is the second-winningest driver in World of Outlaws history.

Also in action at Beaver Dam Raceway will be Australian Kerry Madsen, who recently moved into the third spot in points. Veteran Paul McMahan will be chasing his first Beaver Dam win, as is Jason Sides. Young guns David Gravel, Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen will also be in action.
