Shawano,WI 5/09/15—Mitch Stankowski gained redemption by winning his first career IMCA Modified feature. Jordan Barkholtz outduelled Tracy Wassenberg to achieve his first career IMCA Sport Mod feature. Doug Blashe capitalized on Brett Swedbergs continued misfortune to win the Late Model feature. Travis VanStraten returned the favor to Justin Jacobsen in winning his second feature of the year in the IMCA Stock Car class. While Brad Wedde won his first career Mighty Four feature of the year.

Late Model ace Brett Swedberg had a dominant car again this week as he looked to put his troubles behind him and win his first feature of the year. Swedberg had been in position to win features both nights this season coming into week 3. Swedberg passed early leader Jeff Curtin and set sail as he motored away from the pack. Swedberg quickly caught the tail of the field and began lapping cars as Doug Blashe raced into 2nd. Swedberg was unchallenged but heavy smoke emerged from his car just as he took the white flag. Swedberg coasted though turns one and two and into the pits as Blashe assumed the lead and went on to win his first of the year at Shawano. Troy Springborn took second. Paul Parker crossed the line in third.
Jesse Peebles started outside row one of the IMCA Modified featureand quickly looked as though he had the car to beat. Behind Peebles, Mitch Stankowski moved in to second on the track and two cars began to distance themselves from the rest of the field. Peebles had built had comfortable lead over Stankowski by lap ten when he caught the back of the pack and had to contend with lapped traffic. Peebles had difficulties negotiating the lapped traffic allowing Stankowski to close in. Peebles had been running the high side of the track, but was forced low by the cars in front of him. Charlie Wild joined the mix also as Peebles and Stankowski raced side by side with lapped traffic for the lead. Stankowski was finally able to clear Peebles on lap 17 to take the lead. Stankowski went on to win his first career IMCA Modified feature after nearly winning last week. Charlie Wild took second and Mike Wedelstadt beat Peevbles across the line by an eyelash for third.
Gary Kasperek led the opening lap of the IMCA Stock Car feature before mechanical woes forced him from the track. Justin Jacobsen assumed the lead and led the following 2 laps before giving way to Travis VanStraten. VanStraten, though pressured by Jacobsen, led the rest of the way for his second win of the year. Steven Stewart came home a strong 3rd after starting in 8th.
Zack McKinnon held the lead of the IMCA Sport Mod feature for 1 lap before Jordan Barkholtz put his 91x machine in front of the field. Barkholtz quickly had company at the front of the field as he was joined by Tracy Wassenberg and Lucas Lamberies. Lap after lap Barkholtz raced the outside groove with Wassenberg to his inside as Lamberies rode right on their back bumpers looking for an opening. The three cars raced in a tight pack to the finish as Barkohltz raced to his first career feature win. Wassenberg had to settle for second with Lamberies taking third.
Lewis Jepson led the first lap of the Mighty Four feature before Calvin Stueck took over the lead on lap 2. Stueck than handed the lead to his cousin Brad Wedde. Wedde led the rest of the way for his first career win. Grant Kastning passed Stueck late in the race for 2nd.
