Seymour April 16- As the regular racing season gets set to take the green flag this Sunday night, April 19, the schedule has seen some updates for 2015 at the Seymour Speedway

There have been inquiries about running a practice at Seymour and the club will give it a try this season.

Practices have been added to the schedule on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5-8 PM. The track will be open to anyone wishing to take laps. Pit pass will be $15.00 per person. Scheduled for May 12, June 9, July 14 and August 11.

The club is proud to welcome long time division sponsors back for 2015.

Budweiser to the IMCA Modiifeds, Coors’s Light in the IMCA Stock Cars and Turbo Blue in the Street Stocks.

We would like to officially welcome O’Reilly Auto Parts as the IMCA Sport Mod division sponsor.

The 4 Cylinder division is still open, and anyone interested in a season sponsorship can contact the club at the track or through the web site or facebook.

The Seymour Speedway will also be the exclusive sponsor for “In The Draft” on 105.7 WAPL on M-W-F at 1:40 PM. Catch all the information for results and upcoming events at local tracks throughout the 2015 racing season.

The track will also have other promotions in co-operation with WAPL this season.

The Kids Club is in full swing again this season. All kids that register will receive an official Kids Club t-Shirt. There are special events throughout the season. GSR Racing Products is again sponsoring the Father’s Day Bike Giveaway on June 21. August 9 will welcome back Kelsey Coatings/ 1st Choice Auto Sales for the Coin Toss.

The WDLMA Late Models will return for 2 more programs as part of their SUPER 7 Series on the May 24 Summer Holiday Classic program and on July 19. This 7 race series has a separate payoff and point fund in addition to their full slate of weekly appearances.

The Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Cars will return this season on August 2. Billy Balog used his Seymour victory to help secure his 7th IRA title. The 30 lap feature race went non stop running in just a tick under 8 minutes.

The INEX Legends will be back on the banked 1/3 mile clay oval on June 7.

Returning as well this season will be the Spectator Eliminators which will again run every other week starting on May 3. Joining the weekly racing action this season on the weeks the spectators are off will be the Thunder Trucks. This new entry level division has seen a great deal of interest and besides running here bi weekly, they will be at Thunder Hill on Saturday nights and Manitowoc on Friday nights weekly in 2015.

The schedule is being finalized this week and further updates will be posted shortly.

The weekly Sunday night programs begin this week, Sunday April 19 with all five regular divisions and the debut of the Thunder Trucks. Gates open at 4 with racing at 5:30.

There will be NO racing at the Seymour Speedway on April 26 because of the FFA Auction at the fairgrounds.

Racing will return on Sunday May 3.
