Rice Lake Speedway Racers Set To Show Cars

Rice Lake WI – With the snow mostly melted and the temperatures rising, thoughts of area race fans and drivers have turned toward the upcoming racing season at the Rice Lake Speedway.
The first activity of the season, building toward the sixty third consecutive season opener on April 18th at the speedway is the annual car show.
To be held once again at Rice Lake’s Cedar Mall, the racers will roll their shiny new machines into the Mall on Wednesday night, April 1st with the cars staying in the Mall during regular Mall hours through Saturday, April 4th when they will be removed prior to Easter.

According to Adams-Hansen Inc. spokesman Kevin Adams, seventeen cars have already signed up to appear in the Mall and there may be more to add to that list before April 1st.
The first on track activity at the speedway is scheduled for Thursday, April 16th when a practice night will be held at the track from approximately 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Spectators are welcome to come to the track and check out the activity as there will be no charge to watch the action that night. The first race of the 2015 racing season is scheduled for Saturday night, April 18th will hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing to follow immediately. As in previous years, the regular race programs will feature five classes of cars including the WISSOTA sanctioned modifieds, super stocks, Midwest modifieds and street stocks along with the Rice Lake pure stocks.
The first special event of the season is slated for Thursday night, May 14th when the cars and stars of the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) bring their nationally known drivers to Rice Lake to challenge the locals in a forty lap feature event that will pay $3,000 to the race winner. WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds will also be on the card that night.
