The final leg of the 2014 Summer Holiday Classic series will be run this Sunday, August 31 at the Seymour Speedway.

There has been a change with the announcement that the WDLMA Late Models will NOT be part of this weeks program.

In conversations with the late model sanctioning body, WDLMA, they could not guantee a full field of cars for the event. N.E.W. DIRT could not justify the purse for 12 or less cars, and the additional admission prices that go along with these shows.

It was not an easy decision to make but was mutual between both parties.

Both also plan discussions for 2015.

With that change, the 5 regular divisions, Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Coors Light IMCA Stock Cars, Turbo Blue Street Stocks, IMCA Sport Mods and 4 Cylinders, will be in action and will run for the posted Holiday Classic purse increase as in the past. The Spectator Eliminators will run for the final time in 2014.

All divisions will be running their final point races for the season as well.

The feature winners will also be receiving a special Kim Parsons Memorial Trophy to support Organ and Tissue Donations, presented by track announcer, Steve Parsons, in memory of his daughter.

Also, the admission prices will NOT be increased this Sunday. The pit and grandstand prices will remain the same as the regular season.

It will be a BIG show for the final regular season night and a THANK YOU to the fans and club members for their support throughout the 31st Anniversary season.

Following the races, all are invited into the pit for a corn roast with free beer.

For the drivers. There will be a cash payoff following the races.

The final night of racing for the 2014 season will be the following SATURDAY night, September 6th. No other track is running in the area that week, and not everyone goes to Boone. So this will be just an added race for drivers and fans to get in before school and the Fall specials start the following week.

Racing will start both weeks at 5:30 PM…as usual.

We hope you can all join us this Sunday for the Summer Holiday Classic finale and again on Saturday September 6th for the final race of the season.
