ABC Raceway Offering Exciting Bonuses for 39th Red Clay Classic

Ashland, WI, August 22 — Officials at the ABC Raceway have come up with an enticing set of bonuses to offer drivers for the upcoming 39th annual Red Clay Classic.
The Northland’s traditional stock car racing season finale, to be held on Friday and Saturday, September 26-27, is expected to draw upwards of 200 drivers from throughout the Upper Midwest and south-central Canada to compete for a posted purse in excess of $80,000 – one of the largest offerings in the region for a stock car racing special event.
To help make the event even more enticing for drivers, the Raceway’s Board of Directors will proudly offer four very significant bonus programs.

For starters, the draw fee will be waived for any 2014 WISSOTA track champion that comes to Ashland to compete for the weekend. In addition, the single competitor that hauls the farthest for the big two-day event will receive a $500 long-haul bonus.
Also, the first five drivers in each of the competing classes – WISSOTA-sanctioned Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks and Midwest Modifieds – who pre-register for the event and have not competed in the Red Clay Classic since the 2010 edition will have their entry fees paid by the Raceway. In order to receive this bonus, drivers need to contact Raceway Board member Eric Erickson at (715) 209-2102.
Finally, Northern Clearing Inc of Ashland will pay out $150 bonuses to the drivers in each of the four feature races who posts the fastest lap in their respective events, based on the Raceway’s electronic scoring and timing system.
Qualifying heat races for the 39th annual Red Clay Classic will be held on Friday night the 26th, and on Saturday the 27th final semi-feature qualifying rounds will be held before the four big main events. The Mid-Mods will run a 25-lap feature paying $600 to win, the Super Stock winner will receive an $1,800 first-place check after their 30-lap A-feature, the “big” Mods will battle 35 laps for a $3,000 winner’s share, and the Late Models will run their 50-lap main event for a top prize of $4,000.
All pricing for admission tickets and reserved seating, on-site camping and pit spaces remains the same as last year.
