INEX Legends at Seymour TONIGHT August 10

Seymour, August 10-It doesn’t seem possible, but there are 4 nights of racing left in the 2014 season after tonight.

We welcome Van’s Hi Way Auto as the title sponsor and a full program with the INEX Legends, along with our regular 5 division program on the 1/3 mile banked oval.

The track has seen great improvements over the past 4 races. After a season of searching for the best products and procedures, track crews have found the correct combination heading into the stretch run.

The INEX Legends will be bringing a full field to compete in a full point program. A scheduling conflict prevented the group from running earlier in the season.

Along with the five weekly divisions, this will be a very full night of racing action.

The weather also looks like it will co-operate with NO rain in the forecast.

Pit gates open at 3 PM.

Late sign in is 4:30.

Racing starts at 5:30 PM SHARP!!

Grandstand opens at 4 PM

The running order tonight is:

IMCA Sport Mods

Legends

Turbo Blue Street Stocks

Budweiser IMCA Modifieds

Coors Light IMCA Stock Cars

4 Cylinders

Racing starts at 5:30 PM… SHARP!!!

There is plenty of racing yet to come with the return of the OUTLAW IRA SPRINTS to the Seymour Speedway next Sunday, August 17. It is the first time since 2008 for the 410 speed machines to invade the Speedway. They will be part of a full regular program with a slight twist next week.

The five regular divisions will be using an IMCA mid season championship format. The top 10 in current point standings will be in the front of the feature field, with the balance of the cars on hand running a qualifying race/races to fill the lineup. The point leader will start on the pole.

The August 24th program will be the Choice Auto Sales/ Kelsey Coatings Kids Club Coin Toss.

Labor Day weekend, Sunday August 31, will be the final leg of the 2014 Holiday Classic series. It will also be the final point night for all weekly divisions at the Seymour Speedway. There will be a Corn Roast in the pit area following the races.

The final race of the season will be a on Saturday night, September 6. With all of the other local tracks off before the start of the Specials season, N.E.W. DIRT decided to pick up the night for one last program. It will be a regular night just run on Saturday. Sunday is a scheduled rain date. Racing will still start at 5:30 PM.

With the season winding down, if you have been a regular weekly driver or fan, THANKS for your continued support. If you haven’t been here for a while, please give us a try. The racing has been great all season.

And as the national motel chain says WLTLOFY.

TDIAO (The Door Is Always Open) for you every Sunday night at the Seymour Speedway.
