Tickets, Camping, Pit Spots Now Available for 39th Red Clay Classic

Ashland, WI, August 2 — Reserved seating, camping sites and pit parking are now available for the 39th annual Red Clay Classic at the ABC Raceway.
The three-eighths-mile red-clay oval located south of Ashland will host the Northland’s traditional stock car racing season finale on Friday and Saturday, September 26-27, and upwards of 200 drivers from throughout the Upper Midwest and south-central Canada are expected to compete for a posted purse in excess of $80,000. The purse is one of the largest offerings for a special racing event in the region.

WISSOTA-sanctioned Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks and Midwest Modifieds will take to the track for qualifying heat races on Friday night. On Saturday, the Mid-Mods will run a 25-lap feature paying $600 to win, the Super Stock winner will receive an $1,800 first-place check after their 30-lap A-feature, the “big” Mods will battle 35 laps for a $3,000 winner’s share, and the Late Models will run their 50-lap main event for a top prize of $4,000.
In addition to the big winners’ checks and a generous overall payout, the event will also offer a $500 “Champions’ Challenge” to any past RCC winner who captures a feature on that Saturday, and Northern Clearing Inc of Ashland will pay $150 each to the drivers that post the fastest-timed laps in all four main events.
Fans who purchased reserved seats or campsites for the 2013 Red Clay Classic, or racers who purchased pit spots for last year’s show, have until August 9 to renew their reservations. On August 10 the Raceway will make all remaining seats, sites and spots available to the general public.
All pricing remains the same as last year. Single-day adult grandstand tickets are just $20 on Friday and $25 for Saturday’s show, but fans can save five dollars by purchasing a $40 two-day pass. Kids ages 6-12 are admitted for $12 each night, but a kids’ two-day pass is just $20.
Reserved seating is also available, priced at $50 for adults and just $30 for kids ages 6-12, and includes a two-day pass.
Reserved camping on the Raceway grounds is just $30 for the weekend. There is also camping available on the privately-owned property to the east of the track, but that is on a first-come, first-served basis.
To buy tickets or to save a seat or campsite, fans are urged to call (715) 682-2672 Monday through Friday (evenings only), send an e-mail to [email protected], or inquire at the grandstand ticket window during any of the remaining regular-season race nights on Saturdays in August.

Information regarding access times to the grounds, pits and grandstands, start times for hot laps and racing, the annual scramble golf tournament and other activities will be released at a later time.
Prior to each night’s race program, “Race Night” will provide up-to-date track news and weather information live on WBSZ, 93.3 FM, and online at www.wbszfm.com. The broadcast times will be announced at a later date.
The ABC Raceway is located 3-1/2 miles south of Ashland on State Highway 13 and one mile west on Butterworth Road. For raceday information call (715) 682-4990, or log on to the track’s website, www.abcraceway.com.
