Siefert Slide-jobs to $1,000 Pay Day at Luxemburg Speedway
(Luxemburg, WI)- The slide-job is usually used when talking about Sprint Car racing. Jared Siefert seemed to make the IMCA Modified slide-job just as effective. Siefert used the move on Jason Czarapata on the final corner of the 25 lap main event to pick up the win.
Scott Boulanger won his first career IMCA Sportmod Feature event on Friday Night.
Other Feature winners included: Brandon Czarapata(IMCA Stockcars) Derek Moede(IMCA Hobby Stocks) and Keith Kickbusch(Street Stocks.)
Jared Siefert started on the pole for the 25 lap main event which would see the winner cash in on the $1,000 pay day. Siefert stayed in front of the field through some early cautions. Lance Arneson stayed in two behind Siefert and waited for a chance to pounce. Arneson moved inside of Siefert on several occasions but couldn’t make the pass. With all the fun at the front, Jason Czarapata moved into striking distance with five laps remaining. Czarapata made a pass for the lead with three laps remaining but caution flag flew. Siefert got a great restart but Czarapata was able to make his move on top. Czarapata came to the white flag just in front of Siefert. Siefert stayed on the bottom until the backstretch. Siefert ran inside of Czarapata and performed a perfectly timed slide-job on Czarapata off of turn four. Siefert saw the checkers in front of Arneson who snuck passed Czarapata for second. Troy Jerovetz finished fourth with Eddie
Muenster
fifth.
Eric Malfroid opened up as the leader of the IMCA Stockcar Feature. Luke Lemmens flew by on the second lap and led through a couple of early cautions. Rod Snellenberger would make his way to second and battle with Lemmens for the lead. The duo would tangle on lap ten causing a caution. Rob Waechter inherited the lead but quickly fell victim to Evan Madden on the outside. Madden came under siege from Brandon Czarapata the next lap. Czarapata had to sneak through passed Madden on one last caution. Czarapata set sail to record his fourth win of the season. Czarapata tied Snellenberger in the race for the championship. Madden came around to second. Rob Waechter came home third with Troy Muench fourth. Luke Lemmens came from pit lane to finish fifth.
Scott Boulanger has now officially won a feature in three different divisions. IMCA Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks and as of Friday Night, IMCA Sportmods. Boulanger started on the pole and jumped out in front of the crowd. Lucas Lamberies dove to second and tried multiple lanes to get the lead and finally succeeded up high on lap ten. Lamberies would stay in command until he would spin by himself and cause a caution on lap thirteen. Andy Kleczka enjoyed the caution as he used it to jump into the lead on the restart. Kleczka would maintain the top with Boulanger trying different approaches down low. Boulanger stayed at it and regained the lead at the white flag. Boulanger worked the final lap like he has done plenty of times. He stayed out front and picked up his first career IMCA Sportmod Feature win. Kleczka expanded the point lead by finishing second. Josh Lambert had a career best third place finish in front of Christopher
Budzban. Mike
Dauphinais finished fifth.
Scott Boulanger ran to the lead of the IMCA Hobby Stock Feature on the second lap. He stayed ahead of a 3wide battle that ensued halfway through the feature that involved the Moede brothers and Cory Cotter. Cotter and Derek would win the battle and set their sites on Boulanger. With four laps remaining, Cory Cotter led the lap on a three wide pass. Unfortunately for him the next lap saw him jump the birm at the same time Derek was coming for the lead. Derek Moede cruised to the win extending his point lead. Boulanger wound up second with Cotter falling to third. Marcus Moede and Dan Van Pay rounded out the top five.
Sawyer Haese wrestled the lead away from Justin Mahlberg after and early race battle in the Street Stock Feature. Keith Kickbusch used the battle up front to by some time as he worked the back bumper of Haese for the lead. Kickbusch would grab the lead on lap eight and never look back in picking up his division leading fourth win. Haese had a second place run in front of Jerry Winkler. Andy Fuhrmann beat Jon Ashcraft back to the line for fourth.
